Trattoria Osti Matti In Roma

This was the greatest part of our vacation, easily. The owner was such a a personable human being, the food was insane, and it was a core memory visiting this restaurant TWICE. Highly recommend for everything you need in a trip to Rome. It WILL NOT DISAPPOINT

We had dinner last night, finding the restaurant on Google. A pleasant discovery for the excellent quality of the food, cared for as genuine as the hospitality of the owners. It's really true, the best Greek pasta I've ever eaten, I recommend booking in advance if possible, even if the owner will always find a table because kindness is at home.

You must go! The food is amazing we went back twice. The owner is also wonderful and speaks English.

My husband and I went here on the second last night of our trip. We spent 4 days in Paris then 4 days in Rome. We showed up at opening time, praying we'd get a table and luckily we were not disappointed. The owner runs the front of house himself and his wife cooks. He was so personable, read the menu to us in English and line by line. He was cracking jokes, attending to every patrons needs, and all with a smile on his face. You can tell this man LOVES his business. And the food... Best meal of our entire trip! Recommend you make a reservation in case you're not as lucky as we were. This restaurant is a must if visiting Rome. You will not be disappointed!

This was by far the best restaurant of our vacation! The owner was funny and friendly and able to explain the menu in both English and Italian. The food was out of this world. For reference, we enjoyed the cheese plate with honey and jams, 2 pasta dishes- the ravioli in balsamic glaze is what dreams are made of. The pork shank, artichokes and potatoes- delicious. And homemade cherry panacotta and coffee for dessert. The meal was incredible! We had a delicious and reasonably priced bottle of wine and thoroughly enjoyed our last night in Rome at Osti Matti. Not to be missed this is a hidden gem.

Trattoria Osti Matti has everything you can look for in a trattoria and even more, starting from the professionalism and friendliness of the owner Sabatino, to the goodness of the dishes, up to the quality of the products. The two of us took a platter of cured meats and cheeses (very good), good and delicate bacon and artichoke gnocchi, I also appreciated the quality of the pasta, saltimbocca (which melted in the mouth) and a baked potato, and finally a slice of chocolate and black cherry cake (also delicious). All well accompanied by half a liter of wine. In the end we had two coffees. €30 each which, given the quality we found, seemed more than honest. I'm just sorry I didn't take photos that I could attach. I renew the compliments given in person and see you soon.

Torneremo sicuramente perché abbiamo trovato competenza, simpatia, prodotti di altissima qualità e una cucina ottima. Da non perdere!!!

One of the highlights of our trip. Beautiful food put together thoughtfully and such a great atmosphere.

We ate at Ostti Matti because it was two minutes from our hotel. We learned about it from other hotel guests who loved it and it did not disappoint. The food was great, the service friendly and reasonable prices. Be patient, the owner runs around taking care of everyone at the restaurant, but always with a smile on his face. Locals love this place and he greets them with such a friendly smile. The food was delicious and plentiful. In our four days in Rome we ate there twice.
