Beyond the subjectivity of taste which remains essential, chef Lombardo's restaurant is a combination of coherence with its roots and creativity, of delicacy and impact.
In our case, subjectivity went hand in hand with expectations; everything perfect, from the dishes, to the explanations to the service.
The Maitre d's ability to remain composed without being rigid, and to bring subtle irony together with the technicality of the dishes, made our experience profound, rich and light.
Congratulations again to the chef, and to all the staff, in particular Maitre Donato, who made us feel like we were regular customers, despite it being our first time, and who was able to involve us with enormous culture and lightness; Thanks again.

A beautiful restaurant, in the heart of Matera, in the Sassi, along a panoramic walk, the setting is evocative, an intimate atmosphere. Impeccable service, but a little slow, but it was clear that it was a business dinner, with several tables. The menu is certainly worth it, I wasn't able to fully appreciate it due to the after-effects of a cold, but it delighted many. I rate the food 4 stars because, although at a very high level, I didn't go wow, but maybe it was my cold. If you happen to be in Matera, go there

An unforgettable experience, it confirms itself as a restaurant of the highest level. In my opinion it deserves a second star. Never an imperfection in the dishes or a wrong cooking or an approximate presentation. Absolutely worth trying for anyone who goes to Matera.

A bit of a stuffy atmosphere, but attentive service. The cellar is excellent, the food is equally good, but perhaps a little pretentious (at least for my tastes). The desserts are interesting.

Tutto perfetto. Ottime rivisitazioni di piatti della cucina tradizionale lucana, molto bene presentati e dai gusti non banali. Personale di sala cortese e mai invadente, menzione particolare per il Maitre che sa trovare un gancio con ogni cliente per farlo sentire a casa. Da Vitantonio Lombardo si respira davvero aria di famiglia

Dopo 4 anni siamo tornati in questo posto che ci aveva lasciato un bel ricordo e per fortuna il tutto è stato riconfermato ampiamente sia la eccellenza del percorso gastronomico sia la piacevole sensazione di normalità della accoglienza che pur essendo di livello come richiesto dalle varie classifiche riesce a mantenere un calore che sa di pranzo in famiglia . Menzione speciale per gli ziti… commoventi
