Funny how we are attracted to movement. Walking along the way, but hungry, we looked and saw a different place. Open kitchen, preparations on display and lots of joy. Ready. Come in and enjoy typical and delicious food. It was worth a lot.

Interesting place, we stopped by chance since it was the first time in Matera, a wonderful discovery, quality raw materials and typical products served (albeit simple dishes) masterfully!! Friendly staff, average value for the place!!

Top! I was there on my lunch break for three consecutive days and I guarantee excellent and genuine dishes, simple and quick proposals, courtesy and quality products as well as truly honest prices and a beautiful environment. Bruschetta, cialledda, really good and always fresh sandwiches. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Eaten well. We took broad beans and chicory with local Spaccasassi wine from the Parco dei Monaci winery. All excellent at good prices. Advised

Lovely little cafe in the sassi area of Matera. Ok, they ran out of milk for our coffee too but Lydia, the owner, popped to the ice cream shop opposite and got some which we thought was funny but we had just had a delicious lunch and a litre jug of the house red (8 euro!), in the sunshine, so everything seemed funny. Lydia was charming and friendly and the food was good so no complaints from us.

06/04/2024: We celebrated Easter in this very bright restaurant! The service 🔝, the hospitality and the menu exceeded our expectations! Above all, I was surprised to find this level in such a small municipality! The artichoke risotto "forced" almost everyone to repeat it! 😂
06/04/2024: I recommend the place if you are looking for an experiential journey: you will not find the dishes from an "Italian menu" with generous and classic portions, but each product offered is the result of a search for combinations that in my opinion are particular and refined. Surely when you eat out you look for the quality of the food but the eye also wants its part: the atmosphere of the brand new and very welcoming place, the dishes and the kindness of the staff complete everything. I entered this place set up for a birthday for the first time and, after returning several times, I chose it to celebrate mine! Excellent pizza even for me who have problems with yeast. Last but not least, affectionate and extremely helpful owners.

10/03/2024: For those who love peace and tranquility, Casal Dragone is ideal. The place is excellent, home cooking as well as the pleasure of a good glass of wine and the owners are fantastic people and finally the visit to the crypt of original sin cannot be found better in this corner of Basilicata.
