01/04/2024: For an Easter Monday dedicated to nature and relaxation we chose this rural and rustic place to spend a peaceful day. The fixed menu for the day at a cost of 50 euros included this which I will now list. As an appetizer there was a mix with an exquisite raw ham, a carpaccio of bresaola, rocket and parmesan, the truly excellent buffalo morsel, the aubergine with tomato and baked mozzarella, the typical hot Easter pie, all really delicious. First, the ravioli with buffalo ricotta and truffle sauce, all balanced in flavor and quite delicate, then the cavatelli with cherry tomatoes, bacon, rocket and parmesan, an explosion of flavour! As a second course we took the pork loin roll stuffed with bacon and provola cheese (too dry to my taste and I didn't really like the combination). Finally, the veal entrecote cooked to perfection and of high quality. The baked potatoes are excellent. The desserts to finish were also good and the service was correct, fast and friendly.

23/08/2023: Mid-August 2023 or so. Beautiful and unexpected evening at the Antiche Volte di Laurenzana. An internal and external medieval setting worthy of a good arthouse film and an intensely engaging atmosphere that has nothing to envy of more noble situations and places. Another feature, which to define as excellent would be an understatement, is the choice of wines suggested by the owner, who manages to provide unexpected and exquisite combinations with creative and tasty dishes. And finally, and above all, the kindness of Pietro who accompanies you in a serene and relaxing break. We conclude with a positive (perhaps more prosaic but not secondary) reflection on good value for money, which has often become a mirage in this society of fugitives.

22/08/2023: Ci siamo stati per un aperitivo,c’è da dire che l’aperol spritz non è fatto con l’aperol,ma con un equivalente di basso valore,egualmente per una coca cola a mio figlio, ma credo si tratti di bevande da discount.Peccato perché il posto è davvero carino potrebbero dare lo slancio attirando turisti anche di paesi vicini.

03/04/2024: I don't comment on the food, because the owner did not at all kindly invite us to go out since we were 20 minutes late (for which we had also apologized) due to problems that should not have interested him: in these cases, one should simply accept the apologies and at most tell us that the kitchen is now closed or that the place is full; (fun fact, the place was completely empty and in fact the owner told us on the phone that never before would we have endless seats). In short, we enter and this guy was already looking askance, making us notice, with the help of a very poor Italian and with the gestures of a country boy that we had, and I quote to paraphrase, "been quite late", so I, feeling unwelcome, told him that, if it had been a problem, we would have left, and he, in Avigliano dialect, gruffly told us that the door was there. Now, one also wants to try to support the local economy, but such rude, pretentious and grumpy people (despite the place being empty), deserve failure. I understand the delay, but education should not be lacking, especially for people who work closely with the public. One thing is for sure, I will never set foot in that place again and I will recommend doing the same to everyone I know and anyone who reads this review.

12/03/2024: Elegant and refined restaurant. Excellent welcome, the waiter even brought a bowl of water to our little dog. Good food, fair portions and well presented. The desserts a little below average compared to the high quality of the other courses, but good. We chose three courses each, no tasting menu, the bill was reasonable. I recommend it to anyone looking for a special experience.

04/03/2024: Pretentious. 3-course lunch (uncooked starter, first and second course) served in almost 3 hours. The staff apologized because one of the boys in the kitchen had felt ill but this cannot justify the unreasonable times in the room: half an hour before the bread arrived and another half hour, after a reminder, from the moment of the request for a second bottle of water. The menu is also questionable. We had previously called to ascertain the presence of vegetarian alternatives, but with the exception of two starters (one of which consists of a puree of broad beans and chicory) and a rather banal first course (therefore a forced choice), it is not possible to eat anything else.

23/01/2024: Ristorante già visitato negli anni passati. Già il livello era alto ma ha raggiunto un livello davvero eccellente. C'è veramente l' imbarazzo della scelta. Fra le varie proposte io ho scelto un carpaccio di spigola su cuc cus all'arancia. Spaghetti ai ricci di mare. Frittura. Tutto eccellente. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Products of their own production of exceptional quality, very generous portions as well as the possibility that very few places offer, of having an encore or even a trio of courses. Possibility of purchasing their products. Everything is very, very good. Owners and guys at the tables very kind, friendly, amiable and patient. We felt like family, very beautiful view full of greenery. Definitely coming back. Congratulations indeed!!!

26/02/2024: Sasso is one of my fixed destinations, a wonderful place. Just as a fixed point is to eat here when I stay in these beloved places. This place embodies good cuisine, the frank and sincere heart of Lucania. The products are excellent, all of them, from pasta to meat to pizza... I've tried them all and without going into too much detail I'll summarize: if you're in Sasso, eat here at least one evening, do it for yourself. This time we went for first courses (2 each) and tagliatana of meat for the second course, with potatoes..beer, water and wine.. And then Antonio (owner) shows up with a barricade, three glasses and a chat and you understand that there is both love but also a lot of professionalism behind it... and the result shows.. Sublime final note: the bill that doesn't add up to what you ate, on the contrary, costs you an "if I knew I also took..." After a day of hiking you get hungry, very hungry. There's no point in writing, I'll be back. I do it every time. Maybe I'll write soon. 100% recommended

04/01/2024: Excellent cuisine to say the least. A journey into traditional Lucanian cuisine, something unique that I recommend to everyone. Authentic and very intense flavors. I asked for a house starter (which I recommend to everyone), the quantity was plentiful and of excellent quality. Super welcoming and friendly staff

07/04/2024: Terrible, food with a strange smell, I got sick to my stomach... they didn't even send chopsticks to eat and everything arrived in pieces... they made excuses instead of giving a solution via WhatsApp... NOT RECOMMENDED, BE CAREFUL!

29/03/2024: I lost the desire to even try the food because of the terrible service through WhatsApp, what terrible and condescending treatment from the person who manages that service! Instead of being a help for the people we want to book, it turned out to be pedantic and not agile or collaborative! Customer service should be a must in your establishment and it is non-existent! What a disappointment!
