31/03/2024: Before entering I thought I was having lunch in a restaurant but my partner and I were really surprised to find the service of a starred restaurant! The food was delicious, a search for native raw materials processed as tradition dictates. The elegant location immersed in the green panorama of the Marateo hills. I highly recommend.

23/01/2024: Ristorante già visitato negli anni passati. Già il livello era alto ma ha raggiunto un livello davvero eccellente. C'è veramente l' imbarazzo della scelta. Fra le varie proposte io ho scelto un carpaccio di spigola su cuc cus all'arancia. Spaghetti ai ricci di mare. Frittura. Tutto eccellente. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

06/04/2024: Dining at 1999 the restaurant in Maratea was truly a pleasant experience for me. The fantastic location overlooking the Port, the refined and very tasty dishes, with new combinations that make them unique. An appreciation also for the dining room staff ready to guide you in your choice, attentive to every customer request and to make you feel at home. I highly recommend it!

05/04/2024: Excellent farmhouse with kind and attentive staff, fast service, really good food, you can see that quality is their prerogative and the dishes are quite generous but not the bill which is perfectly in line with what was eaten. What can I say, we liked it quite a bit, so much so that we went there twice in three days. Definitely an experience worth repeating if we end up in those parts again.

04/04/2024: I stopped at this restaurant by chance and had a great time. The very kind staff accommodated my two children who don't eat fish while my wife and I both had fish menus and it was all delicious. Beautiful external view.

02/04/2024: Easter Monday with some friends, arrived at 2pm, fairly quick service taking into account the holiday and the people who were there. Some abundant and very good dishes. At the end a bit of confusion with some courses but immediately ready and very kind. Very good frying. Ate fresh pasta with mussels and prawns. Nice view. Restaurant on the street. Nice venue.

09/10/2023: Una bella pizza è quello che ci vuole. Abbiamo mangiato una pizza buona e soddisfacente. Digeribile e gustosa con ingredienti buoni e ben distribuiti sulla pizza. Servizio gentile e veloce. Lo consiglio per una cena senza troppe pretese.

10/02/2024: Location veramente calda e accogliente,l a pizza veramente ottima, leggera, impasto ben lievitato e anche per quanto riguarda il pesce molto buona. Unico neo della serata è stata la poca scelta per quanto riguarda i dolci e anche il personale non mi ha trasmesso molta simpatia. Però consigliato perché la pizza è veramente una delle migliori in zona.

30/10/2023: attracted by the positive reviews I went with my wife for dinner. Even though the staff is very friendly, I didn't really like the experience. You eat in a dining room of a confusingly furnished house. Little choice of dishes, only two first courses, and prices similar to those of a restaurant.

02/04/2024: local so-so poor starters you can't order a starter €15.00 a slice of raw meat a slice of capocollo a spoonful of ricotta and a piece of sausage. excellent first course. second course mixed grill and a piece of sausage and a slice of meat arrives on the table pork €12.00 with a side dish of potatoes, of which with a hair on the plate, without replacement of the dish. Waiters take a refresher course in the sector.

01/04/2024: Friendly and extroverted owner, however friendliness in a restaurant is not everything... The dishes were sticky and not washed well, the staff was poorly qualified and the number was inadequate for the number of places to be served, thus creating long waits between one course and another. Among the various courses, some could be eaten and others not even tasted... in the end the owner, at the time of the bill, between one joke and another presented us with a very high bill considering that we were 4 adults and 4 children of which the children just tasted the first because of a simple requested dish of penne with simple sauce they brought rigatoni with meat which obviously between one waste and another they didn't eat much. Inadequate value for money.

09/09/2023: On 09/08/2023 I went to this pastry shop to purchase some sweets to enjoy as soon as I arrived at my destination. I wanted to bring a bit of Maratea home after a week's holiday in this splendor of Basilicata. I opted for almond desserts, with pistachio, lemon, chocolate. Excellent, fragrant and soft. I also purchased some sugared almonds: mixed but the lemon ones are fantastic. My child was very satisfied. Compliments. I highly recommend a visit to this little patisserie to enjoy these delicious goodies

21/10/2023: Without infamy and without praise. We had a pizza for two (not a bad vegetable one) and two fish first courses. Spaghetti with clams was decent, perhaps a little too full of oil, and arrived lukewarm, as if they had been reheated, and not freshly cooked. Generous portions. Good value for money anyway. Rustic location, but I would pay a little attention to the hygiene of the bathrooms. Very courteous and helpful staff. Possibility to use parking.

19/09/2023: Mr. Peppe is very friendly and helpful and a great worker....the dynamic and very kind staff...the food is excellent and refined... I advise.... Amazing environment... I was attracted by the external scent and stopped to eat... Very happy with the excellent experience. Thank you Mr.Peppe
