06/04/2024: Small but very welcoming place, the owner really kind. I had lunch with my family in March, choosing a starter and a first course, traditional but truly delicious dishes. The final bill was more than honest. What can I say, we will be back.

14/03/2024: It is a very characteristic place. The owner, a nice and frank gentleman, advised us to try the starter and first course, all homemade. Simple and tasty products that make you feel the true flavor of Calabria.

24/08/2023: Se sei in vacanza o solo di passaggio a Badolato non puoi perderti una gustosissima cena o aperitivo con prodotti di eccellenza calabrese da Chicchinella. Appena entri ti immergi subito nel cuore del luogo, dall'accoglienza e cura comprendi che il tuo palato sarà sorpreso da ottimi sapori. Infatti arrivano taglieri di salumi, formaggi, olive, carciofini e senti l'odore della terra, dell'aria buona e della tradizione. Fabrizio ha sempre nella sua cantina, tra l'imbarazzo della scelta, il vino giusto per te. Ti ascolta, ti capisce, te lo fa assaggiare e...ha fatto centro! Inoltre Chicchinella alla buona cucina ha associato eventi culturali di musica, danza, teatro. Trascorri una serata piacevole e non vedi l'ora di tornare. È incantevole un posto così!

02/04/2024: Perfect Easter Monday lunch, not something to be taken for granted considering the large number of customers. Ad hoc organized menu, tasty and homemade dishes, fast and impeccable service. Congratulations to the entire staff. The location is also beautiful, a stone's throw from the historic center of Badolato Superiore and with a breathtaking view.

05/09/2023: The last time I went there it had three flavours: dark chocolate, cocoa and lemon granita 🍋😡😡😡 I didn't like any of them and for their justification they said they were closing for the holidays. It was Thursday, who goes on holiday on Thursday? ?!!😡😡

08/03/2024: We hadn’t had much luck in Badolato hitting the spots that we had picked out for dinner due to vacation closures but we stumbled upon this place on our sunset tour and the friendly couple that run the place welcomed us into the empty but cozy place. We never had tried this Calabrian flatbread sandwich which these guys have elevated to an even further level with artisanal ingredients in unexpected combinations served with impeccable choices of great local wines. We had a beautiful antipasti with locally sourced meats, cheeses and accompaniments followed by two of the pitta sandwiches mine with fig jam, tuna and onion my wife’s I think was prosciutto, eggplant and cheese but I may have that wrong. Everything was delicious and most things used in the preparation and antipasti are available for purchase in jars and made by Nonna, we left with a large bag. We closed the place with this lovely couple and drank wine well later than we should of then they led us down the maze of streets to our B&B in the dark, an evening never to be forgotten by a couple who will be very successful in their endeavor highly recommended any time of the day or evening.

28/12/2023: La tradizione badolatese custodita in ottime pitte: scelta variegata frutto di un’attenta ricerca e dell’impegno di chi sa amare il territorio. Da provare e riprovare.

06/04/2024: Arriving for a walk on a Saturday afternoon, we stopped for a quick meal. Without any menu present either on the tables or outside, we are offered a series of appetizers or other dishes. Our choice is meat with a side of potatoes. On the plate there was a slice of meat with some baked potatoes and some rocket leaves and a basket with some bread cut who knows when. The nice surprise was added to the bill. 54 euros 2 slices of meat with 2 potatoes and 2 beers. The bill would have been right maximum 30 euros to be generous. But here it just smacks of mockery, both for locals and tourists.

16/09/2023: Location carina e fresca con tante luci suggestive. Premetto di non aver mangiato la pizza che aveva un bell’aspetto ma la pasta con lo stocco di pessima e bassa fattura. Dello stocco solo piccole parti finali con la pelle quindi…solo l’odore… non si ha nemmeno l’idea di come andrebbe fatta e comunque di inserire “pezzi di stocco” all’interno. Siamo lontani dalla ristorazione base

22/03/2024: Reservation order not respected, absolutely ridiculous wait that exceeds the hour enough to generate the conviction to leave. Mediocre pizza, equally the fried foods. Excellent view.
