14/10/2023: We took our family of 40 people there for dinner, the night before our son’s wedding, at the end of August.we had pre-ordered a menu and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were excellent and everything ran perfectly smoothly. The vegetarian and vegan menus were perfect too. I must say that our family are still talking about the wonderful evening now and we will surely return. Anna, the young lady, who organized everything at La Grotta was very very helpful and professional, a big asset to the restaurant. Definitely recommend this perfect gem to anyone looking for delicious food in a perfect setting overlooking the Vesuvio.

12/10/2023: Arrivati alle 20,30,avevamo prenotato nella grotta. Clienti... nessuno, solo noi, mi colpisce la puzza di umidità, certo... capisco è una gotta... ma forse un deumidificatore sarebbe necessario, ci viene portato il menù, ma a causa della scarsissima luce, dobbiamo accendere la torcia del cellulare per poter leggere,poi..guardando meglio ci accorgiamo che c'erano altre luci ma erano spente, alla domanda del perché fossero spente ci è stato detto che avrebbero dato fastidio... ancora ci chiediamo a chi avrebbero dato fastidio?????? Eravamo solo noi 2.. 🙄 Ordino per me un misto carne, vi era una costoletta di maiale così cotta che era diventata d'acciaio😂, poi un pezzo di grasso e magro che togliendo il grasso (70%) e l'osso(30%)non rimane nulla, mi accontento di un nodo di salsiccia e un pezzo di carne mangiabile, il contorno era patate al forno Inzuppate di olio e 4 pezzettini di funghi porcini... Chiediamo del dolce e ci dicono che è rimasta solo un po' di torta caprese... Mi chiedo chi abbia mangiato gli altri dolci.. 😁visto che non c'era nessuno????? Il prezzo lo ritengo eccessivo e mi sarei aspettato che almeno i 2 micro amari fossero stati offerti dalla casa....

17/10/2023: Op weg van Oplontis aan de kust naar onze volgende lokatie boven Amalfi vonden wij, de richtingwijzers volgend en iets af van de route, deze mooie, grote maar heel lege restaurant. In de buurt vonden we niets anders open dus ja. Een antipasto misto, linguini scampi, scaloppina limone bleken alras teveel van het goede maar wel zeer lekker. Enkel een vreemd gevoel binnen een groot restaurant de dienster, de kassier, de chef en keukenhulp bezig te houden voor uiteindelijk 37 €. Maar de bediening was erg vriendelijk en zoals gezegd blij dat we iets vonden.
