01/04/2024: Restaurant just outside the centre. Various appetizers, the mixed fried food is decent. The first courses, ciceri e tria and the orecchiette with meatballs are very good. The burrata with alice is decent. Service a little slow.

My experience was positive both for the fast, attentive and friendly service and for the quality of the food.
The doses are adequate, the preparations are careful and harmonious.

03/10/2023: In assoluto una delle migliori cene del mio soggiorno salentino, tanto da ritornarci subito la sera successiva, tanto eravamo rimasti soddisfatti.
Siamo stati consigliati dalla nostra titolare del b&b di Morciano di Leuca di provare questo locale, se eravamo in cerca della vera cucina del posto, ed aveva assolutamente ragione.
Nelle due serate in cui siamo andati, abbiamo provato piatti diversi (una menzione particolare al "Carosello", un insieme di antipasti uno più buono dell'altro, dalle polpette, ai fiori di zucca e ricotta col miele, alla bufala con marmellata di pere....la mia bocca ha ancora l'acquolina), e non siamo mai stati delusi. Il menù non è troppo ampio, e lo ritengo un punto di merito, soprattutto quando la qualità è così alta. Anche i primi sono di tutto rispetto, per non parlare delle bombette prese come secondo. Sapori che ancora ci sogniamo, peccato che la terza sera fosse quella della partenza, altrimenti avremmo fatto il tris.
Una menzione poi per il titolare Antonio e tutta la sua squadra: sempre cpn il sorriso, pronti a spiegare il piatto e consigliare, oltre ad avere una gentilezza che ormai non è scontata.
Il prezzo è più alto di quello di altre trattorie, ma assolutamente in linea, se non addirittura basso, se rapportato al menù ed alla assoluta qualità del cibo. Se capitate da quelle parti, fidatevi, e andate da Antonio!
29/09/2023: Went there on our last night in Salve and got somewhat disappointed. The food was average and the interior of the place also nothing special.
It's decent food, i just weren't impressed by the atmosphere.
The staff and service was good!

03/04/2024: A little disappointed after all the good reviews we saw... €12 for chicory leaves ! And restaurant had 'run out'of local house wine. One waiter excellent, one very miserable...( long day perhaps ?). On a positive note, the rabbit ( Nazareth style !) and lamb were excellent. Osteria La Volte (close by) had a better atmosphere, amazing staff and was half the price...
01/04/2024: Good dishes but portions too small and skimpy for the price paid. Little choice on the menu and the lady who served us took us too quickly. I'm sorry but I won't go back

05/11/2023: Dopo diversi anni siamo ritornati in questo ristorante che ci ha sempre sorpreso positivamente. I piatti assaggiati, sempre ottimi e ben presentati, in questa cornice unica ed estremamente accattivante, hanno reso piacevole anche questa esperienza culinaria. Il servizio sembra leggermente peggiorato e meno attento alle esigenze dei clienti.
Ritorneremo presto.....spero!

Additionally a very pleasant environment with a lovely small inside yard, an interesting wine list and a hospitable owner.
Special mention to the mature gentleman that was serving our table.
You have to visit Racale, only for the shake of this restaurant.

10/03/2024: Locale molto intimo, si ha la sensazione di essere in una casa privata, di molto tempo fa. Il menù propone piatti della tradizione leccese. Ma sembrano preparati dalla ‘mamma’.

25/02/2024: Guarda bene dove ti trovi, un luogo INCANTATO, una masseria d'epoca con campi coltivati a perdita d'occhio intorno, composta però di tante piccole stanze con camino, che permettono anche di avere una stanza tutta per sè per il proprio pasto, con un frantoio sotterraneo. Il personale ECCEZIONALE, una gentilezza incredibile, garbati, gentili, accoglienti, puoi girare per il luogo e guardare come preparano la pasta, come infornano il pane, ti vengono anche date tante informazioni sulla storia. Bellissimo.
Il cibo è cibo salutare km0, molto contadino, piatti "di casa", quantità contenute, buono, se il prezzo fosse rapportato solo al pasto sarebbe decisamente eccessivo, è evidente che bisogna pagare anche la prima parte della recensione, di cui davvero c'è da andare fieri. Eccessivo a mio parere anche il prezzo dei vini data la vicinanza delle cantine proposte. Un grande ringraziamento per l'ospitalità al sig. Donato e al sig. Francesco.
15/02/2024: Masseria tipica della zona, richiama quello che era prima la masseria delle campagne del territorio, con i pomodori e il tabacco appeso, molto suggestiva, curata nei minimi dettagli.
Cibo tradizionale, con degli ottimi abbinamenti e con elementi di alta qualità.
Personale preparatissimo e gentilissimo.
Non è la prima volta che ci torniamo, ma ogni volta è come innamorarsi a prima vista.
Consigliatissimo per chi ha il piacere di scoprire cos'è il Salento.

06/09/2023: I was stopped by a man of about 65 in front of the restaurant, who invited me and my girlfriend to stop for dinner in this restaurant offering me a tourist menu for 25 euros per person and in addition to the classic second courses (mixed fried fish, grilled swordfish and sea bream fillet) told me that we could also have a pepper of mussels. We sat down already knowing that the appetizer would be a seafood salad which, as soon as it arrived, seemed to have been fished from a bucket with ready-made food, furthermore it was rich in carrots and celery and, although frozen, there was not even a trace of the fish. . My first one surprised me, NEGATIVELY, ravioli stuffed with grouper, probably from Lidl, immersed in a ready tomato sauce with two prawns (needless to say frozen since last year) on the sides, but the most surprising thing is It was the linguine with clams, in which the clams were very white and didn't even look like seafood, but they could just as easily have been chicken. Finally came the frying in which the flavor of the prawn is that of something just out of the great-great-grandmother's cupboard with a minimum of salt put on it, while the squid was immersed in oil and salt to disguise the fact that it was frozen by at least 4 or 5 years. The wine? Forget it, AVOID, I would be repetitive, perhaps it could be made with (rotten) grapes. The only really positive note was THE SERVICE with a very fast and precise guy (maybe he could put his experience at the service of a better restaurant). Unique experience, hopefully unrepeatable
