02/04/2024: As my last day comes to an end I am full of emotions, my 3 week stay here at Agriturismo San Giuseppe has been nothing short of fantastic! Maxi Mainini and his entire family Angela Mainini, Caterina Mainini their mother and all the staff made me feel like family not just a guest. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed and more. Let's not forget to also mention the restaurant they run here, oh my goodness, all I have to say is compliments to the chef, the food was perfect! I have not been served a dish that I didn't like. From all the traditional Italian dishes to the amazing local wine and beer. But the part that really touched my heart was that they knew I would miss Easter at home with my wife and kids and they didn't have to, but they included me in their family's tradition on Easter Monday. Sitting at that big table with all of them eating that amazing homemade pizza was so comforting. I will miss this small town in Italy 🇮🇹 but know that I will leave "you" a piece of my heart ❤️

I discovered this farmhouse in 2018, for business trips. And now I have organized a business trip to stop here again, 6 years later.
I found a structure consistently faithful to itself, as I remembered it: silence, quiet and excellent food (it was no coincidence that I had planned to have dinner there), but also with the feeling that modernizations had been made, without distorting the soul of the place .
The food is excellent (to make it easier for me, they sent me the menu on WhatsApp the day before), the bill is honest.
The night passed peacefully, in a very comfortable bed and with a silence of times gone by.
I will return (for dinner...).
Sensational breakfast, rich and genuine, with the feeling that it had been prepared especially for me.
The only request I feel like making: if it were possible to purchase the excellent parmesan that was served to me at dinner. Maybe it's possible and I didn't ask...I'll try next time...

Location: welcoming, quiet, pleasant for an evening with friends. They don't take turns so you can stay freely.
SERVICE: kind and at the right times and attentive FOOD varied menu good well served... the pizza... the pan one is always the best for me. PRICE: honest for the offer.

Of these, one was capricciosa with chips and cost 12 euros... it contained perhaps 10 chips in total and even the capricciosa was almost a margherita. In S.Ilario there are many valid alternatives for takeaway

08/03/2024: Si tratta di una tipica trattoria, con annesso bar alle porte del paese di Gattatico. Una unica sala, con tavoli sufficientemente distanziati e apparecchiati con tovaglie e tovaglioli di carta. Pochi piatti nel menù, come è giusto che sia, tipici della zona. Buoni gli affettati e buone anche tutte le altre preparazioni. Veramente generose le porzioni e particolarmente gentile il servizio. In ordine i servizi igienici e facilità di parcheggio nelle vicinanze. Davvero contenuti i prezzi.
19/01/2024: Il retrobottega di un bar che è anche una salumeria con i controfiocchi e una trattoria di quelle tutte da scoprire. Cucina super genuina, porzioni abbondanti (e ci mancherebbe) e tanta simpatia. Spero di tornare in zona per riandare a farci visita...

25/02/2024: Non capisco le ultime recensioni così negative. Cena sociale andata medikamente bene. Ottimi glivassaggi di parmigiano reggiano, niente da dire sui primi, veramente gustosi. Il secondo forse un poco " altalenante" , nel senso che la qualità della carne non era omogenea, mentre le verdure di contorno veramente ottime. Assaggi di dolci nella media. Peccato per la scelta dei vini. Non esiste solo il Lambrusco, mentre il bianco non ha per nulla entusiasmato. Il personale offre un buon servizio.

25/02/2024: Mia figlia ha festeggiato il compleanno con gli amici, noi siamo rimasti a cena con alcuni genitori. Cibo ottimo e personale molto cordiale. Mia figlia ha festeggiato con i suoi amici in una stanza dedicata dove hanno potuto anche accendere la musica. Consiglio questo posto sia per le cene che per i compleanni ed anche per l'ottimo spaccio di salumi e formaggi di loro produzione!

11/02/2024: Siamo stati a cena ieri sera, la pizza era buonissima, soprattutto quella al tegamino, forse la più buona mai mangiata, strepitosa.
Peccato per l’odore agghiacciante, siamo usciti e puzzavamo di cipolla, cibo, fritto, mai successa una cosa del genere.
Abbiamo dovuto lasciare gli abiti in garage.
Questa mattina anche l’auto puzzava ancora.
Peccato perché ripeto che la pizza al tegamino é una cosa meravigliosa.
Consiglio vivamente ai titolari di risolvere il problema, perché vorremmo tornare a mangiare quella pizza strepitosa, ma l’odore é veramente insopportabile.

We stumbled upon it by chance, but we will definitely be back.
11/11/2023: The tagliatelle al ragù was delicious, with perfectly cooked pasta and a rich, flavorful ragù. The roasted coppa was succulent and well seasoned, highlighting the quality of the ingredients. Excellent value for money, fast service and exquisite dishes. Highly recommended for a satisfying and quick lunch.
