16/09/2023: Good big pizza! The toppings are always plentiful and it is possible to have multiple flavors on the same pizza. Every year, when I'm in Lignano, I don't fail to pick her up.

03/04/2024: We were there on Easter Sunday and only discovered the restaurant by chance. Despite the low season, there was a notice on the door saying "The restaurant is full". It can't be that bad then. We tried it anyway without a reservation because we didn't want to keep looking in the rain. Restaurant was actually full, mostly Italians and a few Austrians. Nevertheless, the owner was able to get a table ready for us after a few minutes. Already the first positive experience. Until then, we enjoyed a gin and tonic at the bar. The menu is not very large in terms of both selection and format. The most important thing: three T-bone steaks of different origins for 8EUR/100g, which I don't think is exorbitant. You can choose bottled wine directly from the shelf, which I think is very good; I always prefer the tactile experience of a bottle to a wine list. Prices around 30-40EUR. The next positive experience. When I was choosing the wine, I discovered the highlight: the steaks (and fish) are prepared on an open fire. The only point of criticism: the side vegetables came a little too early and were therefore only lukewarm when the steak arrived. There was a large selection of desserts, tiramisu is always good and the crème brûlée came to the table scorching, espresso was excellent as it is almost everywhere in Italy. The conclusion was a nice chat with the boss (thanks again for the cake and grappa!) What can I say, completely satisfied and I wish we had discovered the place earlier. In summer I would definitely recommend booking a few days in advance.

27/09/2023: Very nice local operator. Great ambience and really good food. Were there to celebrate my loved one's birthday. And it was the most beautiful evening of our short vacation in Lignano. Perfect service, friendly people and the food, as already mentioned, TOP… What I would also like to mention positively... You take your time while eating. The main course is not served immediately after the starter, but a “1/4 hour” later… At the end, my sweetheart got an extra dessert with a sparkler and a glass of really good wine for everyone, donated by Illia, the host... We will be back…

17/09/2023: 80€ for this plate for two. We wanted 2 fish plates, the waiter asked if he should put them on a big plate. We said yes. Our mistake. Beside the small portion, half of the sea food had sand in it. After 2 hours bad stomachache. For a 4,6 star restaurant it is obvious that they got the stars from the working staff.

05/04/2024: Scarpa is a historic restaurant, located in a side street of Lignano, near the centre. We came here on a Thursday to try out the new management and we were pleasantly surprised! Smiling, helpful and friendly staff. We had a Coca Cola and a glass of Malvasia with 6 croutons: bacon, lard, anchovies and butter, creamed cod, anchovies and sea bass. Definitely large, well filled and very good! Beautiful experience, definitely recommended and we will be back 😁
