03/04/2024: Visited you last weekend for my girlfriend's birthday with the 9-course menu plus wine accompaniment. Sublime menu by chef Matteo Compagnucci who managed to make me love the flavor of liver. A 3-3.30 experience that I recommend everyone to do. We will definitely be back to try new dishes. Finally, thanks to the staff who, despite their extreme professionalism, proved to be very friendly. Ps Sara Scarsella's revisitation of ramen was excellent with the whitefish so good that I would have preferred an extra piece. “Mata ua made”

24/03/2024: Service, care of the dishes, preparations, raw materials, wine accompaniment, desserts... all excellent. Perfect location and atmosphere for a fantastic tasting/sensory journey.

19/03/2024: Extremely high quality products, very fresh porchetta (its scent will inebriate you as soon as you enter) and truly exceptional hand-cut raw ham. The bread used for the sandwiches is certainly a gem and makes everything tasty and harmonious. The staff is extremely kind, friendly and helpful and able to explain every detail of their products. Central location overlooking the square. Highly recommended!

10/03/2024: Visiting Ariccia for the first time we have just stopped here attracted by a slice of very lean porchetta that can already be seen passing by outside... a very kind girl welcomed us and recommended something to take away... porchetta, couples or lean dried meat with chili pepper and wine donuts! We will update you after the tasting!!! ✌️

05/04/2024: Discovered by chance, and magically it's like feeling at home, today is the fourth time we've been back, and the food is amazing, impeccable service, lovely staff, what else to add, the place speaks for itself, wonderful ❤️

26/03/2024: Very characteristic restaurant in the center of Ariccia. It has a very particular underground room. Very friendly staff and excellent traditional food. The appetizer of the cueva is worth trying (the porchetta and mortadella are spectacular!). Low prices. To try!

07/04/2024: This has been one of the restaurants I frequented most often with my family for years for reasons of proximity to home and convenience. Remarkable position, on the Appia and at the entrance to one of the most beautiful villages of the Castelli Romani, with ample parking and a beautiful garden with the possibility of organizing buffets and outdoor parties. The appetizers with supplì and Ascoli olives are delicious, the pizzas and tarts are also delicious. When it comes to desserts, chef Daniela Mancini is unbeatable, pampering us and always offering us the best.

27/03/2024: We went for lunch on a Tuesday, it was one of the few places open. We took two mixed starters, a pappardella with wild boar and a carbonara... the starter was good, shame about the porchetta not being very fresh, but still pleasant. The pappardelle was also good, the real problem was the carbonara: definitely too light, it barely tasted like egg... I wondered if there was any cream/milk to make it creamier... the bacon was good. I'm sorry for having eaten a carbonara like that but I hope I'm wrong, and that maybe egg whites were also added instead of just the yolk (which I would have preferred not to have been done anyway). However, for two starters, two first courses, 1/2 liter of wine, a water and a coffee, we paid 43.50 with a 20% TheFork discount. In general I wouldn't go back, but with the discount I might give it a second chance, perhaps trying something else. Friendly service and nice place.

21/03/2024: For a trip out of town, a stone's throw from Rome, I recommend this tavern. I was satisfied with both the carbonara with artichokes and the tripe, both true delights for the palate The service provided by the staff was also impeccable: friendly, attentive to needs and made the whole experience even more pleasant. As for the environment, it is welcoming and inviting to the point of creating a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. I can't wait to return to try other delicacies from their menu.

30/03/2024: On Google it gave 4.4. Stolen. I took the €18 menu. Very good and plentiful starter, I give 5 stars. The rest a disappointment. White wine diluted with too much water, 0 points. Pasta with cheese and pepper, overcooked pasta with no flavour, it seemed to be seasoned with Philadelphia cheese and not with pecorino, 0 points. Decent but poor arrosticini, 2 points. TOTAL 3 menus of 18, € 1 liter of diluted wine, 2 bottles of water €9. Total bill €63 WITHOUT RECEIPT. NICE RIP.

29/03/2024: Unfortunately the experience of 2 years ago was not repeated. We went on a Thursday evening in March and although there weren't many people, they put us at a table next to others. It wasn't physically possible for the waiters to move and we had to do it ourselves. How is it possible to have a large venue and sacrifice people on a non-crowded evening? Mysteries.... No menu and the usual "smart" mark-up for starters, but the platter is plentiful as are the other items, perhaps the strong point of the place. The first courses were normal, also plentiful. This time the mark-up on wine is unacceptable, a wine that costs 10 euros cannot be priced at 22 in a fraschetta then.... The other time the Falesco Tellus Chardonnay, which has a similar price, was sold for 12. I honestly don't know if the type of fraschette is experiencing a decline and no longer makes sense, given the prices that are increasingly closer to restaurants or if it was an "unlucky" evening. There were 2 of us and we paid 49 euros (price per kg) for starters, 1 first course each (about 9.10 euros), 3 digestives, 2 coffees, 44 euros of wine, 2 bottles of water, total price 150 euros. Honestly a little too much for a fraschetta, with fraschetta service and also fraschetta inconvenience.

27/03/2024: First time in my life in a "fraschetta". I decided to go there to enjoy the true flavors of the Castelli Romani and obviously I chose Ariccia as my destination. On advice I went directly to "Dal Brigante Gasperone". I was welcomed quite warmly, they made me sit where I preferred and the adventure began. The starter is something superhuman in terms of quality and quantity. Everything really good: omelette, scamorza, meatballs with sauce, porchetta (orgasmic), couples, mortadella, DI-VI-NO bread (there is no other way to be defined), buffalo mozzarella, baked potatoes. If I really have to make a "criticism" I address it to the buffalo ricotta: filtered and creamed it loses its meaning in my opinion. Furthermore, placing that mixture of honey/fruit puree directly on the ricotta itself can clog the taste buds of purists like me. I would have preferred the ricotta in its "wild" state with the sauce on the side. But oh well, nothing serious. The first: a very simple cacio e pepe. But simple dishes are the most insidious and they fully passed the test. Even though I was practically bloated like a balloon from the richness of the starter, I devoured the pasta immediately. Very good, creamed just right, perfect temperature. I took the cheese and pepper cream off the plate. There's nothing else to add 😍 P.S. I forgot the real sore point, you can't charge 5 euros for a 1 liter glass bottle of Coca Cola. Come on... 😉

06/04/2024: Maximum rating for this fraschetta summarized in 5 points. 1- Location, very pretty and well furnished, welcoming but not rustic place like other fraschette. 2- courtesy of the staff, the guys are all really kind and helpful, ready to advise without being pushy or intrusive. 3- Quality of the dishes. We tried the truly complete and varied tasting menu, all the typical local dishes of excellent quality with (I continue to the next point) 5 abundant courses in fact my wife and I asked to divide the first one into two parts because we were really full. 6- More than honest price considering the quantity and quality (60 euros for two). Happy to review those who work excellently!
