The quality of the food was terrible, really poor... they ruined our evening
15/03/2024: Beautiful location in Torno on the shore of Lago di Como. Truly soothing view from the room balcony on the lake, church and surrounding mountains. Service and staff are excellent! Very helpful (hotel staff will bring your luggage to the hotel since parking is hundred meters from the hotel). Very kind staff. They will help you with your requests e.g. printing tickets for Fiera Milano entrance. Rooms are really nice and well equipped. Recommendation to everyone.

19/03/2024: A super nice and welcoming place to stop after a pleasant walk. Magnificent welcome and delicious food. Truly an experience worth repeating! Compliments!
30/12/2023: Superb place, warm and pleasant, it was cold outside and there was a fireplace. The service was also perfect, an adorable couple! The food was excellent and introduced us to the specialties, thank you very much we hope to come back one day

30/03/2024: This is the restaurant have sweet memories and the view is spectacular,just beside the lake and the restaurant has the heritage painting with nice decorations,I like the lamp they using,it's really make the restaurant atmosphere look warm, staff is friendly and patience,food definitely perfect,I will be back in future.

What you breathe at Crotto di Montepiatto makes you feel at home.
The Crotto can only be reached on foot in about 1 hour starting from Torno, about 500 meters away. of altitude difference.
It is a "romantic" crotto, with green window frames, in the center of an oasis of peace, the Isolabella area.
The menu, carefully designed and with the right portions, is prepared with quality and "1 km" raw materials.
The panna cotta with blueberries and rosemary is original.
The guys are very kind and helpful, spontaneous without forcing.

25/02/2024: Love the atmosphere and the music, lovely bartenders and excellent wines, had one pinot and a chianti, gelatos are excellently priced too.
12/02/2024: Indecent staff! I stop the car in front of the bar around 8.00pm, put on the 4 indicators and go down for a few minutes to pick up a pizza a 1 minute walk away. I return and the "lady" comes out of the bar insulting me because I left the car there and didn't ask the bar for permission to park. Shocked. It doesn't say ASK AT THE BAR nor PARKING ONLY FOR BAR CUSTOMERS, it says maximum parking time 10 minutes... so I go into the bar and tell him: as a result he insults me heavily, calls me rude, same goes for the boy agitated who works there who screams and gets indecently angry. I've seen other reviews criticizing the staff - now I understand why.

03/01/2024: the sandwich was good and the service was friendly and fast but it's not possible in 2024 not to be able to pay the 23 euro receipt with the credit card that you make me pay in banknotes without even giving me the receipt. really bad

20/09/2023: Nachtessen mit grossartiger Panoramasicht auf den Comersee . Das Essen entspricht ganz dem grossartigen Ambiente: tolle Auswahl, fein gekocht und gediegen serviert.
07/08/2023: Wat hebben wij onverwachts heerlijk gegeten! Het hotel/ restaurant ziet er wat ouderwets uit, maar de tafels zijn keurig gedekt. En het uitzicht is werkelijk geweldig. En dan het eten… Wij hebben voortreffelijk gegeten. Heerlijk malse biefstuk, een ook de mixed grill was smaakvol en zeer goede kwaliteit. Echt aan te bevelen.
Ook handig; je auto kan je er goed parkeren.

15/09/2023: Nach all dem Lob, das der stylischen Location gespendet worden, waren wir doch echt enttäuscht vom Gebotenen. Der Hors d‘Oeuvre Teller ging zwar noch in Ordnung, aber der Risotto ai funghi schmeckte nach rein gar nichts und den Schinken in den Spaghetti Carbonara hätte man auch mit einer Lupe nicht gefunden. Schade um den malerischen Ort und das fantastische Ambiente!
