23/03/2024: Simply WOW! When we're travelling, we're always on the lookout for new, exciting vegan restaurants. And what can I say: Sottobosco Bistrot is probably the best vegan restaurant we've ever been to! The menu is simply amazing. A real explosion of flavour. And it's all vegan too. Everything is just right here: flavour, ingredients, but also the service and the presentation on the plate. We were surprised, as we would never have expected a restaurant like this in Grosseto. If you're ever in the area, you should definitely pay a visit to Sottobosco. Even if you're not vegan. The food is absolutely worth it!

10/03/2024: Nice and welcoming place, very kind staff, as far as the food is concerned, nothing to say, studied and wonderful dishes with incredible flavours. Truly congratulations! Obviously absolutely recommended.

01/04/2024: Great place, lovely staff, a family place where the chef is the waitress’s husband. near the abbey. Stayed open specially for us on a quiet day! Do go, it’s great. Quirky wonderful architecture over several floors (and outside on a terrace). Great food.

Molto consigliati i primi piatti di pasta fresca fatta a mano da loro. Atmosfera riservata in un locale con solo 5 tavoli a disposizione. Consigliata la prenotazione

12/10/2023: It’s all been said in other reviews but hands down the best food and dining experience we had in Cala Gonone - well worth seeking out but it does get very busy and there are not many covers, so booking would be a good idea. We didn’t but we got lucky. An intimate restaurant run with passion and talent by a lovely couple. Pasta cooked to perfection and certainly rivals the best London restaurants. Loved that the ingredients are locally sourced, fresh and flavoursome, plus good wines. If you like liquorice, try the liqueur (also available to buy, along with other goodies)

27/02/2024: Cozy refuge, the staff is quick and hospitable. We ate a large plate of eggs, speck and pan-fried potatoes 😋.

14/10/2023: We've been coming here for years, including today, the mountain hut is one of the most beautiful in the area, it tastes ancient and the food is good and plentiful, which is appreciated after a 2 hour walk. the environment is very beautiful, quiet and the open view makes everything a paradise. Importantly, they love animals, which is why our Maya can't wait to arrive 🙃

06/10/2023: Went to the alpine pasture with the e-bike today. We first ordered a drink to arrive. We actually wanted to eat something, but we were completely ignored after the first and only order. The innkeeper is only interested in the guests who came up the mountain on foot. Hikers had also taken a seat at the table next door, with whom the innkeeper had a lively conversation and also commented negatively on some of the guests who had just left. All attention!!!! Maybe you put up a sign in advance indicating which guests are welcome and which are not. A very clear one from us NO THANKS

22/02/2024: Very nice, at the beginning you had to enter with the password, now it's a less speakeasy but it's still fine. The place is very nice inside, a little small but reserved, when there are no evenings. The cocktails are of a certain level. I have to try the new cuisine.
