21/11/2023: Esperienza molto piacevole anche per ragioni non legate al cibo.
Abbiamo apprezzato la piacevole accoglienza e la simpatica conversazione con i gestori. Il cibo era ben confezionato e curato. Il risotto con l'osso buco di tradizione -che non si trova ormai quasi più - ottimo così come la polenta con zola e funghi.
Notevole il tiramisù con gli amaretti, una scoperta. Torneremo spesso, anche perché Maccagno è un paese splendido, per me il paese meglio tenuto della provincia di Varese.. per distacco anche.
17/10/2023: If only half of the pitches at Lagocamp were designated, if at least 50% of the pitches had a lake view and if there were only half as many dogs on the pitch, I could say that it is a nice campsite. Unfortunately, the only positive thing left is the sanitary facilities and the helpfulness of the staff. Everything else, especially the narrowness, has little to do with a campsite that deserves 5 stars. Sorry.

04/04/2024: Yesterday we were at La Gabella for the second time, the review only refers to yesterday evening.
The pasta and the pork fillet were good, but the lamb was unfortunately quite tough and no longer a young lamb either. The toppings for the lamb, very few small potatoes and not so good spinach. Unfortunately the dish was only lukewarm. The dessert, tiramisu and creme Catalan were very tasty.
The service was very friendly and accommodating.
Unfortunately the restaurant was also very cold and a bit drafty. The oven didn't manage to warm the very large room.
Overall 3+ stars for me

04/04/2024: Were here. Were hungry. 45 minutes before lunch, but were turned away because they had shot. 2:15 p.m. Really disappointing.
31/03/2024: The Italia is highly recommended, we were there last year and it was very good. This year we reserved the Easter menu. The weather was worse than ever, but the Ristorante Italia was our highlight, super fine food, very nice staff, the atmosphere is typically Italian, we would love to come back.

29/09/2023: Pranzo qui per provare il locale e sorpresa… tutto è buonissimo. Ci accomodiamo all’aperto su un lungo bancone con vista spettacolare sul lago Maggiore. Antipasto di salumi e formaggi misti caserecci ( e si sente) , polenta simile alla fregola sarda ( come formato e consistenza) funghi porcini freschi, salsiccia, spezzatino di cervo tenerissimo e costine di maiale tenerissime in umido tutto molto gustoso. Un calice di vino del Varesotto e acqua della fonte (gratis, che altri avrebbero fatto pagare) un caffè e torta sbrisona per un prezzo più che onesto. BRAVI continuate cosi, eccellenti ma umili 😋😋
09/09/2023: Durch Zufall entdeckte mein Mann dieses urige Wirtshaus im Internet.
Wir wollten eine Brotzeit zu uns nehmen und dementsprechend gab es für uns in der Ferienwohnung ein sehr, sehr spartanisches Frühstück.
Das Gasthaus öffnet um 10.30 Uhr und nun waren wir wirklich sehr hungrig.
Wir entscheiden uns für eine Schinken- Salami-Käseplatte mit Brot.
Das Brot war frisch und einfach köstlich. Das Essen einfach ein Gedicht. Es war für uns ein sehr schönes Erlebnis, den Lago Maggiore zu Füßen, diese Köstlichkeiten zu essen.
Nun hatten wir zwar schon etwas im Magen aber für meinen Mann gab es noch Salami. Bei der riesigen Auswahl an Salami half ihm der Wirt, indem er persönlich die Sorten präsentierte. Man sah dem Wirt seine Freude an der Arbeit wirklich an. Ich entschied dann für eine kleine Käseplatte. Der Käse war von mild nach würzig geordnet angerichtet.
Zum krönenden Abschluss kam für uns ein Tiramisu mit Latte Macchiato und Cappuccino in Frage. Schon allein nach dem Verzehr des leckeren Tiramisu stellten wir uns die Frage nach der Fahrtüchtigkeit. Hier sparte man nicht am Amaretto. Aber es war ein Gedicht.
Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist überaus fair, die Wirtleute sehr herzliche Gastgeber und die Lage ist ein Traum.
Allerdings darf man sich nicht scheuen, steile, sehr enge Serpentinenstraßen zu fahren.

Pizza buona. Prezzi adeguati.
15/08/2023: 2 spritz sel service nel bicchiere in plastica e una pizza al trancio con pacchetto patatine comprate perché come aperitivo non ho avuto neanche quelle 20 euro. Boooo viva chi é contento di spenderli
