18/03/2024: There were 3 of us returning from Agrigento after attending the Almond Blossom. We stopped for lunch, the owner was friendly. The place is quite large, bright and has an outdoor swimming pool. Being Sunday there was a fixed menu and it was abundant with a starter, 2 first courses, 2 second courses, fruit and dessert. Wine and water. All very good

21/02/2024: Excellent restaurant, we had a good time. It's small but cozy.
16/01/2024: I had already been to this little place, five years ago. The situation was the same: I arrived from the airport at lunchtime. Booked by phone half an hour before, for me and three other friends. A place with around twenty seats, well looked after and clean, very friendly staff. Menu prepared orally, based, I presume, on the season and the creativity of the chef. We ate well. Really satisfied.

26/03/2024: Let me start by saying that I didn't eat at the restaurant. The place is certainly well placed in terms of structure, nice, but not having eaten on site I was unable to rate the service and hospitality. Second part I got some takeaway pizzas which in the end weren't that great, I hope the next time I stop by them I can be more comprehensive in my review. To try again to be more sure of what I say
24/03/2024: Ate good pizza. The restaurant is nicely decorated and was very busy, especially pick-ups. So it was unfortunately a bit busy for a quiet meal.
The menu can be translated via QR code and the waitress also spoke English quite well.
The food was tasty. Large parking space available behind the house.

13/01/2024: A very pleasant feast of meat (really really really good!!) The owner is a bit "rustic" but it's part of the character and if you take it in the right way you can really laugh
07/01/2024: Per un vegetariano come me andare in una steak house, se non proprio un suicidio, rappresenta comunque un azzardo. E invece l'oste ha saputo dare il meglio di sé: un antipasto straordinario, con un eccellente selezione di verdure e formaggi, come le polpette di patate, i carciofi arrosto, la scarola saltata e l'insalata al gorgonzola. Anche mia moglie è rimasta colpita da questo e dalla sua parte carnivora, con il crostino di scottona, la pancetta al sugo e il filetto di manzo.
Guidati qui da Tripadvisor, non possiamo che confermare la validità delle sue classifiche.

05/04/2024: Truly excellent, great quality of food, excellent from starters to main courses to dessert and service. Beautiful place with a panoramic view of the Sicilian hinterland, in the foreground the suggestive Mount Formaggio. I stumbled upon it by chance for an event, I will definitely go back.

16/03/2024: La Mandragola is a beautiful ristopub that I have been frequenting for years, the most comfortable place (in my opinion) in the city of Gela. Excellent for drinking, eating and spending pleasant evenings with friends and acquaintances. Polite and sociable staff and management!
11/03/2024: Just one flaw... Small place for all those people, but it's historic, maybe that's the beauty of it... Maybe if they sell nearby, some walls will be knocked down 😁😬😅❤️

22/03/2024: Quiet and peaceful location Surrounded by greenery, kind and attentive staff, restaurant serving quality food, excellent for events and special occasions
15/02/2024: New Year's Eve to forget. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The place is very beautiful, but there are many things to review, too many... especially in the organization of larger events like the one they tried to organize on New Year's Eve, but the only big thing was the price. Sin. The rooms, those in the detached body, are not bad but in winter you freeze to death, I didn't sleep a wink at night. The wi-fi doesn't work anywhere, there is little cell reception.
The food is not bad, but repetitive. We had a package for dinner on the 31st and lunch on the 1st, but the menu was repetitive, the children's menu unchanged. Not to mention that for the dinner on the 31st, at 01:00 in the morning they removed everything from the table, even the glasses... It was really embarrassing.
Terrible breakfast. We will definitely not be returning.

17/03/2024: Un'esperienza indimenticabile.
Vi dico perché:
1) pulizia da 10 e lode ovunque;
2) professionalità e cortesia misurate, mai stucchevoli;
3) piatti straordinari preparati con cura e maestria anche grazie all'uso di materie prime eccellenti e del territorio (l'olio, servito in anteprima per gustarlo con il pane e i grissini della casa, è sublime);
4) la mise en place è perfetta.
Abbiamo gustato un primo di pesce (cernia spettacolare) e uno di carne (sugo e pezzetti di carne e salsiccia indimenticabile), oltre a due antipasti con carciofi ( eccellenza del territorio) semplicemente meravigliosi.
Poi, avendo saputo che amiamo i carciofi, la titolare ci ha offerto due carciofi preparati in due diverse ricette.
Prezzi nella norma.
Complimenti e grazie. Torneremo.
16/03/2024: Una vera sorpresa nel centro di Niscemi, "capitale del carciofo".
Locale piccolino ed elegante, musica di sottofondo gradevolissima, squisiti gli spaghetti con sugo di cernia e il baccalà fritto con carciofi. In omaggio 2 carciofi violetti eccezionali. Il servizio curato dai gentilissimi proprietari.
Se non fosse così decentrato sarei un cliente abituale
