04/04/2024: Locanda Belvedere, a beautiful restaurant and b&b up in the mountains of Rocchetta al Volturno welcomed our tired selves and our bikes even though the season hadn’t started yet. The accommodation was satisfactory but what really shined was our dinner and breakfast. Dinner was exceptional with a knowledgable staff and wine pairing. We woke to an Italian breakfast with very fresh food. Highly recommend.
03/04/2024: We spent Easter Monday at the inn, I had never been there before. Several friends had spoken well of it and recommended it to me. Intrigued, I decided to book and I was really satisfied. Quiet place, family environment, professional staff and top cuisine. A special thanks to Stefano who immediately made himself available to us, satisfying our every request. I will definitely come back.

02/04/2024: Giungiamo in questo localino a conduzione famigliare con una decina di minuti di ritardo rispetto alla prenotazione. Avrà infastidito ciò? Abbiamo pranzato senza serenità a causa del personale presuntuoso e arrogante. Ahimè ci ritroviamo a confermare pienamente le tante recensioni negative a riguardo dell'accoglienza inesistente nei confronti del cliente.
01/04/2024: Ci siamo stati per cena. Qualità del cibo ok, buoni gli antipasti e i primi. Ma se volete sentirvi a casa e ben voluti, non venite qui. Ad esempio: da turista ho chiesto quali, tra alcuni primi, fossero quelli tipicamente locali, e ho ricevuto come risposta che tutti lo erano, in maniera quasi scocciata e presuntuosa. Altro esempio: mio marito ha chiesto una birra. Gli è stata servita la Peroni in bottiglia di vetro. Chiedendo un bicchiere, di nuovo, abbiamo ricevuto come risposta un muso storto. Fossero stati presenti un sorriso e un po' di "dolcezza" nei confronti del cliente, probabilmente, ci saremmo tornati.

02/03/2024: Locale molto curato nei dettagli anche nei minimi particolari qualità cibo prezzo direi ottimo .per qualsiasi occasione lo sceglierei .pizza superlativa che dire veramente buona tempi di attesa pari a zero la titolare molto simpatica e molto professionale.il servizio direi eccellente la ragazza che ci ha servito Maura direi che dire c’è poco da dire si commenta da sola eccellente .da ritornarci e lo consiglio vivamente bravi continuate così devozione ed impegno vi stanno ripagando al giusto prezzo complimenti

17/03/2024: I book for 16 women for March 8th, I phone the super kind owner. He tells me that there is a fixed menu with starters made from tartare, marinated carpaccio and flan, first course pizza and dessert. I ask if it is possible to have 10 of the 16 reserved seats, a Tuscan-like appetizer with raw ham and little more, because 10 people don't eat raw food, he very kindly grants me the request. When we get there, instead of a table of 16, I find 2 tables of 3 and 2 tables of 5 (if it wanted to be divided, I would have said so....if you don't have a room for 1 table of 16, you have to say it...) I join the tables and create 2 of 8...the first 40 minutes are been smoked in the true sense of the word, from a fireplace lit in the room that was smoking... Marco the owner, kindly at first, immediately runs to the fireplace but instead of immediately taking away the 3 logs that were there, he throws some cardboard ...windows wide open, girls with makeup dripping from tears, old people with jackets....after 40 minutes..he takes away the three shackles...and acts annoyed...because for him, we simply had to keep the windows open....(well with that storm).......they bring the appetizers and I find on the plate, leek flan (good), chopped mortadella cooked or seasoned(?) Raw meat carpaccio, simply marinated and uncooked and a platter of raw... The discussion begins..... he insists on saying that it is cooked... but I who have been selling it for work for 22 years, know very well that that meat on the fire, it didn't get through..... after half an hour of discussion (I find it absurd that a restaurateur starts arguing over every comma, rightly disputed, that was wrong) the time comes to order the pizzas and we hear the waiters talking because no one wanted to come and take our order... the place isn't huge and our hearing is good... oh well... we order the pizzas... "we only make the classic ones"... 4 seasons, no....rocket and raw cake, no because you lose out on a €25 menu....well...you have to pay and there are 10 of us with the menu without the tartare instead of 25 €, he asks for €20...we ask why and he replies that if he spends less, he makes customers spend less...my advice: I have never said I want to spend less and I have never made it an issue price....next time, ask for €25 but get both the 4 seasons and the panel....because it's embarrassing to hear certain answers from the waiters! In the end the evening ended and we even had a laugh with Marco... because even if he's touchy, he's also very nice.
12/03/2024: We decided to have lunch at Distinto on the occasion of our anniversary. The atmosphere of the place was calm and welcoming. The service was excellent, the waitress was present but never seemed intrusive. We decided to try the Istinto tasting menu and the dishes were all delicious. Quality ingredients revisited by the chef, sometimes in an oriental style. The courses featured ingredients of different consistencies and flavors (sweet, salty, sour) well balanced between them, which made the dishes not only excellent but also pleasant to discover and taste. Right value for money for us. In the end, they also gave us a welcome surprise to celebrate our anniversary. They were very kind and we will definitely come back to try the other dishes.

04/04/2024: The pizza was excellent and even the one for celiacs I must say that it was among the best I have ever eaten (just a shame that it was a little burnt underneath). Courteous staff attentive to customer needs. The price is super honest (maybe even lower than other pizzerias that deserve less)

08/03/2024: Today I was with my wife in Campobasso for a visit, and given the time was 1.07 pm we decided to stop for lunch, and after an overview of the restaurants in the area, I decided to go to the Antica Trattoria Del Riccio dal 1890. Once we arrived in Cantalupo village on the hills, we immediately find the location, small but clean and tidy. The owner Tonino lets us sit, and we immediately create a nice relationship like old friends, nice and brilliant people. We start with a typical Molise appetizer, with cheeses, cold cuts, and a slice of "exquisite" wild boar mortadella, an appetizer of local products, score 10. A polenta with porcini mushrooms, score 10. A baked cod, garlic, oil and chili pepper, score 10 and praise. Roast with porcini mushrooms, rating 9. Grilled lamb, rating 10 and praise. All accompanied with 🍷 excellent quality house wine, Aqua coffee and amaro. Excellent value for money, I recommend it to everyone, and for connoisseurs and good tasters, it is the ideal place. 14/02/2024: After a small excursion inspired by hunger, my boyfriend and I fortunately stumbled upon this small tavern almost hidden by the surrounding nature. A pleasant surprise, one of, if not THE, best lunch I can remember. Exquisite local food and products, of the highest quality, seasoned with the love and commitment of the staff. From the first moment, we were welcomed as if we were at home and flooded with curiosity we left the choice of dishes to the kitchen (to have a real taste of Molise). We were served with a really good surprise starter; Followed by two first courses, a cavatello with Molise ragù (to say exquisite would be a diminutive) and a plate of ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta with a cheese fondue with a heart of burrata and chopped pistachio on top. I would like to underline that all the dough and leavened products were produced by them. Even though we are not big eaters, we couldn't help but try a local rib-eye steak with a side of baked potatoes as a second course... in other words, the only plausible reason to explain the delicacy of this dish is that the raw materials are treated with care and respect. I want to say my last words by saying that few places are so welcoming, you could feel the love they have for their work. Now I'll let the dishes do the talking

21/03/2024: A show. After having dinner here, we returned the next day for lunch. The food is excellent and the welcome and service are top. The courgette and cod parmigiana wins but the rest is impeccable. I highly recommend you try this restaurant!
10/03/2024: My mother (who hates eating out) had the opportunity to have lunch in this restaurant during an organized trip. He asked me to leave a review because he really liked both the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff even though they were visitors passing through. Abundant mixed appetizer, gnocchi with a delicate sauce, healthy meatballs as per tradition and exquisite baked bacon. Great price! Let's hope there will be an opportunity for me to try it as soon as possible.

17/12/2023: Ristorante dalla location suggestiva poiché vi è molto verde ed anche un laghetto. Il mangiare che dire a mio avviso molto costoso e per quello che mi riguarda hanno pochi prodotti paesani. Dovrebbero privilegiare i piatti del posto la lasagna come primo in Molise è un cazzotto allo stomaco.
