03/04/2024: The food here (I had the 4 course tasting menu) was creative (without being crazy), with wonderful tastes (both contrasting and complementary), beautifully prepared and presented. I dined alone (a female of a certain age, who sometimes gets shunted off into an inconspicuous corner-but not here), and was treated very nicely. I definitely recommend this for a special occasion, including just wanting to enjoy the creativity with local ingredients.

06/04/2024: Frankly, I don't understand the positive and even enthusiastic reviews, I must deduce that many people have never frequented a real fish restaurant, or have poor eating habits. They have good raw materials, but the dishes are soaked in cream and various sauces, scandalous on fish dishes and in a seafood risotto. Except for the raw seafood, which is decidedly fresh. Overall, an experience to forget ❌

17/03/2024: Excellent quality food offered in an intimate and romantic setting. Varied and delicious homemade starter, delicious paccheri with seafood in chickpea cream, fried food a panacea for the palate. Excellent value for money.

23/03/2024: Another beautiful discovery in the city of Altamura The place is very nice with an open kitchen, punctual and efficient service The menu offers very well cooked and proposed dishes The ravioli, ossobuco and pumpkin are excellent. The chef manages to combine traditional cuisine by combining new tastes and flavours Price a little high but you pay for the quality Would gladly return to try the other offerings

26/02/2024: Ristorante Calvi è una conferma ogni volta. Tutto lo staff è sempre attento alle necessità del cliente che lo serve con una grande professionalità. Grande scelta di vini, menù accattivante con delle portate buonissime, il pane preparato dallo chef è qualcosa di meraviglioso. Ogni volta che sono ad Altamura questo locale è una tappa obbligatoria. Questa volta mi sono recato sul posto proprio per deliziarmi due sere consecutive con il menù dello chef, e non sono stato deluso dalle mie aspettative. Ogni cena che ho fatto è stato un viaggio nei sapori, la mia solita richiesta allo chef è una portata a suo piacimento ..... anche questa volta ha fatto pieno centro. GRAZIE MILLE

25/03/2024: OUTRAGEOUS!!! We cannot rate either the food or the atmosphere, but we can value the service, which has been outrageous. Tonight two families from Spain went to dinner and we sent our 18 and 25 year old daughters to ask for a table because they were the ones who spoke English best, the restaurant was empty at that time, they told them that they had everything reserved , they came back to ask to reserve a table for lunch this Friday and were told that they were closed. We were very surprised so we asked them to call us from the hotel in perfect Italian and what a SURPRISE, on Friday it is open and they have reserved a table for us. Tell me, gentlemen of Muraya, what is the reason for this, why did you see some young girls and think that they did not have the level to dine in your restaurant or why did you see that they were Spanish? Nothing similar has ever happened to us in any restaurant. They have prejudged and been wrong, those girls have still eaten seafood in restaurants much better than yours, or was it because we were Spanish? What a terrible level, gentlemen. Cancel that table for seven people on Friday, we will eat seafood in any other restaurant as good or better than yours in Bari. All the best.

27/03/2024: we ordered two grills and they served them (octopus and cuttlefish) without any side dish or any sauce or anything, the octopus was really tough.

05/04/2024: When you want to describe the catering (quality, professionalism, cleanliness, details, and customer care) you have to go to this place on the seafront, very fresh fish, excellent starters, first courses and side dishes, the chef discreetly asks if everything is to your liking, explaining every detail, the service it's excellent, punctual and non-invasive, I've been to several places, this is definitely one of the best, I'll be back

07/04/2024: Excellent, light pizza and beautiful presentation of the dishes. It's best to book a few days in advance to get a seat, plus the place isn't very spacious.

22/03/2024: Excellent pizza with light dough. I bought a van Gogh and I appreciated the delicacy of it. They have a very good wine list. The place was crowded as it was a weekend, but having booked, we had no problems. The service was great. Prices are normal for a place that offers quality. I recommend it for sure.

31/03/2024: We went to this place for lunch on Easter Sunday and had a truly terrible experience. The starter with octopus, prawn and lobster salad was acceptable, nothing special. Then the tomato flan arrived cold. The first follows, we were served 3 paccheri (in number), then we were served an artichoke risotto which had absolutely no artichoke flavour. Then the second one arrived and here we had a terrible experience with the dining room staff, extremely slow and also called back by other customers. We asked to speak to the owner who never showed up, in the end we asked for the meat which arrived after a long time and was inedible. It felt like eating cardboard without salt. We complained to a waitress who ignored us and here too the owner didn't ask us for explanations. Those of us who tasted the sea bream slice said that it tasted like that of findus. Too bad, the place is really nice

06/04/2024: Excellent restaurant in the historic center of Polignano. Very nice location, very attentive service and fish menu with a decent choice. Prices commensurate with quality. Definitely a place to return to when in the area. Polignano, like all of Puglia south of Bari, is now full of tourist traps. As a native of Puglia, I'm happy that there are still people like Mr. Fabio who does his job in a professional manner, which is the only way to last over time.
