16/03/2024: Siamo stati a pranzo in questo ristorante, abbiamo gustato un primo: paccheri con ragù di pesce, a dir poco delizioso, e una frittura mista di pesce, davvero ottima ed abbondante. Locale molto carino e raffinato, personale cortese, ottima qualità/prezzo. Consigliatissimo! Top! Provatelo e delizierete il vs palato !

07/03/2024: We celebrated mum's retirement in this place and we were really satisfied. From the first moment Mr. Salvatore was available and ready to accommodate all our requests and satisfy our needs without any hesitation. With patience and irony, which never hurts, he organized the lunch, even advising us against his own interests. He is a chef who does not limit himself to being in the kitchen, but always seeks contact with his customers, creating a welcoming environment in which you feel at ease. Excellent quality fish. Abundant. Variety. Excellent value for money. Congratulations to all the staff who pay the utmost attention to the customer.

26/02/2024: Cozy, elegant and very clean, Very good Sicilian cuisine with original flavours, I wholeheartedly recommend it... oh I forgot the chef is very attentive to all the customer's priorities. Excellent assortment of Sicilian and national wines. I will definitely go back. Thanks to the staff and especially to his son Giuseppe, a young man full of empathy and professional seriousness.

05/02/2024: Tried it months ago. Our food and wine experience in Taormina ends in this place managed by a young team both in the kitchen and in the dining room. This freshness is perceived not only in the environment, but above all in the preparations and the ideas behind them. However, ideas alone are not enough, you need technique, study, dedication and a vast knowledge of the raw material and the versatility of the multiple uses and combinations. Well, there's all this at Modí! The wine list is very well structured and extensive, in my opinion it can only be improved in the proposed itineraries which, if more customizable, would better adapt to the dishes that are chosen. We opted for the la carte, but to put the staff in difficulty, I also asked for a dish that wasn't available à la carte, but only on the tasting menu (that's not true! I only did it for pleasure!!). The staff handled the request perfectly and professionally. As an entree offered by the house, they are served, placed on the fingers of a ceramic hand, cod balls fried with lemon, fake cherry tomatoes stuffed with tomato puree and, on the palm of the "oriental butter", which reminded us of more Moroccan, with turmeric, curry, paprika, lime and chilli. In my opinion, given the continuation of the dinner which showcased the chef's hand, this offer can be improved. Scenographically fantastic. Accompanying wine is an excellent Etna Bianco di Terra Costantino. Followed by a dish that we will remember for a long time: Carnaroli risotto with citrus fruits, flakes of scampi and caviar. Delicate dish, very centered, harmonious in all its ingredients with scampi that literally melt in your mouth. A worthy accompaniment is a Donnafugata rosé made from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes. We continue with the seaweed tartare, foie gras granita and burrata for me, while my partner took a slice of tuna with different consistencies of onions (foam, cream). Both dishes were excellent. Ingenious ideas and perfect mastery of combinations. These dishes conveyed to me the great fun that the chef must have in playing with raw materials, experimenting with cooking methods and combining them with each other. Here is my "intruder": directly from the tasting menu, a pigeon, pumpkin and apple cola with its own flavored sauce, liver cream and heart. Excellent! Test passed given that pigeon is the terrain on which all great chefs compete. Paired with an Etna Rosso by Tornatore, a blend of Nerello Mascalese and Cappuccio, rapid passage in barrel. Very good. I finally closed with a tasting of Sicilian cheeses which I found a little "off" compared to the things I have tasted so far, but it is probably a little more difficult to find dairy gems in this region rich in all sorts of good things! Quite an important bill, but absolutely in line with the quality of the evening.

23/01/2024: Intimidate dining atmosphere with thoughtful dishes and warm hospitality. Probably one of the best fine dining experiences available in Taormina during the off-season. Will return again.

25/02/2024: Amici mie is a welcoming bistro (20 seats) where you can spend pleasant evenings in the company of friends. The chef, Gabriele Oliva, despite his young age, demonstrates mastery and knowledge in dealing with traditional dishes but also innovative combinations. Personally, I had never tried the squid-chickpea combination and was pleasantly surprised. The manager and I presume also the owner is a histrionic and easy-going gentleman, always able to make the customer smile. Special mention, infinitely appreciated the choice to serve the Moka to our request for coffee. Super recommended.

23/03/2024: An amazing experience in the heart of Milazzo. A menu that entices you to return to discover other dishes. Difficult to choose ❤️. I haven't eaten such a good and thoughtful dessert in a long time. Well done Milù and Totó. We will see each other soon!

06/02/2024: We left the dinner delighted. They helped us choose the wine and they gave you an appetizer of bread made by hand so you could try an extra virgin DOP oil. All the dishes were exquisite and the dessert was delicious, in addition to having a very original presentation.

02/04/2024: This is the worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant. My partner and I asked for a table for diner and we were told that there was no table before 20mins. We came back later (20mins later) but we were told that there would not be any table before 15mins (while there clearly was tables available). My partner and I asked if was possible to book for that hour, and here comes the joke: the hostess started to mumble and told us that we would have to be quiet (?). We initially did not understand, so asked what she meant, and she again told us that we would have to be quiet. She left us after that. We understood that she did not want us in her restaurant, which seems crazy… maybe because I was wearing Birkenstocks ? Time to wake up, we are in 2024! Shame on this person and on this restaurant.

01/04/2024: A really nice place in the center of Taormina, it surprised me with champagne wines 🍾 and excellent quality food, all good. Excellent service. I recommend it to relatives, friends, couples, from the first course to the dessert, everything was excellent. Congratulations. I will be back thanks ❤️

31/03/2024: The caponata was great, and the pasta with daily catch was perfect. However, the cannelloni with beef were too oily. We didn't like the recommended Etna white wine. For the dessert, I recommend lemon mousse. The brownie is not brownie at all :)

28/10/2023: Cozy place, pub style in a typical and characteristic village. The staff are very kind and hospitable. Having a large screen in the room, we asked to see the match of our favorite team (forza Lecce) and they accepted our request. They met all our needs. Excellent pinsa, exceptional ribs with barbecue sauce and the quality of the cured meats on the truly top-notch platters. 4 stars for the service due to the excessive waiting and confusion in ordering but all of this was certainly due to the full house and the festival present in the town. I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a young and quiet evening.

06/04/2024: We celebrated on two occasions in this restaurant and I would go back a thousand more times. It is called a trattoria but it serves haute cuisine food, in terms of quality and presentation of the dishes. Dishes with a delicate and refined taste. The owners are really very kind and helpful like few others. If you are lucky you also have the pleasure of having lunch overlooking a breathtaking view! Really super recommended!!!

05/04/2024: Cozy and clean place, wonderful view, fresh fish and, last but not least, well cooked. The quiet of a Friday in April certainly contributed to making the hours spent in this place even more pleasant. I recommend the sword and pistachio half sleeves. We will definitely be back!

03/04/2024: If you want to taste the traditions of "Milazzo" dishes, this is the right place. Where those who return to Milazzo, to taste the flavors of the past and at the same time feel at home. Filippo is all this. Ps the spaghetti al cartoccio was bottomless, 😜. Very good. I recommend it to everybody.
