02/04/2024: The relais is very beautiful and well-kept, the result of a careful renovation to maintain the identity of the structure but with the addition of all the comforts in the rooms. Minimal furnishings that allow the perfectly recovered wooden ceilings and floors to stand out. Very clean and even the presence of the two "cats" Miao and Pepe was not noticeable... for an allergy sufferer like me it is essential. Breakfast has a wide choice of sweets, a little less salty, but still satisfying. If I have to find a less positive note it is certainly the location: it is possible to stay there only if you travel by your own means. A special mention goes to Clarissa, very professional but also friendly and nice. highly recommended

28/03/2024: This place was completely amazing. The staff were so helpful and patient with our southern US accents. From reception, to restaurant, right down to the cleaning staff, everyone was exceptionally kind. It's out of the way and quiet, just what we love in a vacation stay. If we ever make it back to Italy, I would make a point to stay here again.

15/10/2023: La nuova gestione affidata a Bruno /Amore dell'ex vicino Al Torcio, rappresenta una ventata di qualità e tradizione notevolissima per Caorle. Pranzo di pesce, assolutamente fresco, ben fatto e ben preparato, a prezzi in linea con la qualità, senza eccedere, sono la firma inconfondibile di Bruno. Consiglio la proprietà di aggiungere "Al Torcio" nell'insegna del ristorante Sporting, per distinguere la nuova gestione dalla precedente, molto molto diversa.

06/04/2024: For Easter. Very well-kept location, formal environment. Impeccable service, compliments to the waiters, very kind and capable of making you feel at ease. Good food but not wow....the very poor soup. Excellent quality of the fish. Always minimal quantities, seen in other reviews... shame, I was hoping for better. We will also return to the hotel which I believe offers the same plus service! Let's improve the kitchen. Thanks COUNCIL

30/03/2024: It was the first time but I think it will be one of the many times I come here. Impeccable service, very attentive to customers, kindness and friendliness. Unfortunately I have the problem of having to eat gluten-free, but here it wasn't a problem, my every wish was satisfied. In other places I have always felt like a burden, here it seemed normal to please the customer and be ready to prepare the food in a gluten free version. Space carbonara!!!! The spaghetti with clams and bottarga is very delicate but at the same time tasty. The dessert closes the dinner perfectly. What can I say, thank you for your availability and the wonderful experience

06/04/2024: Number 1!!! As a Venetian I say: there aren't many places where VERY FRESH, QUALITY raw materials are processed like this!!! Number 1!!!! Super friendly and helpful staff!!! They follow you very well and you even have a laugh!!! You can see they put their heart into it❤️ unfortunately I can't add photos because I finished everything immediately without wasting time😁

16/04/2024: Do NOT stay here if you sleep even remotely hot. Air conditioning does not exist in this ancient building. We got moved the first night since the AC didn’t work. Then the second room’s AC broke down throughout the 2nd and 3rd night and the only solution was a remote fan. Stay here if you want to pay a four star price for a two star experience. Staff were good but if sleeping without sweating profusely is a priority, go elsewhere!

16/04/2024: My husband and I just returned from a lovely stay. The rooms are beautiful and everything I was looking for to introduce my husband to this romantic city. I look forward to recommending this hotel to friends living in/ traveling to Europe as it is truly a one of a kind experience. We would absolutely return.

28/12/2023: Went for dinner. Quite busy but service was pleasant and attentive. Appetizers, food, wine all above average. A teeny bit on the expensive side, but atmosphere food and service seemed worth it.

20/12/2023: Went here for lunch and were greeted enthusiastically. The room is super traditional and old school which I really like. The service, from our server, Gino was also very professional and "old school" in a very good way. He made a wine recommendation which was excellent and the service was crisp and unintrusive. The food was very good with the pasta served tableside. Again, I like this type of experience. I would recommend this place if you also like a very traditional restaurant.

21/03/2024: In the north of Venice, in the Sestiere Cannaregio, is the Hotel Ai Mori d'Oriente. Very quiet, but just a bridge away, there are a lot of students and after work also a lot of locals. Like most houses and hotels, it looks very narrow and small from the outside, like the many streets and alleys here called Calle, Fondamenti, Riva. You involuntarily ask yourself, can you still fit in there with a suitcase? It was similar last year at Albergo Cavalletto & Doge Orseolo. If you then enter through the glass double doors, you will be surprised. The hotel turns out to be very spacious, with branches, sometimes on the left and sometimes on the right, spread over two floors. There is a chic bar opposite the small reception. At the back there is a courtyard with chairs and a table and right next to it is the breakfast room. Indian and oriental music whispers softly from somewhere. Ai Mori d'Oriente means Walls of the Orient. And so it is beautifully decorated with lots of small and large knick-knacks, knick-knacks and pictures that show a different time. When you walk on the heavy red carpets and take in everything, you may feel, for a brief moment, Marco Polo's zeitgeist. The design extends over two floors, which are accessible via stairs and elevator. Friendly staff, at least with a good knowledge of English, welcome you and an eager bellman reaches for your luggage. The room looks like it comes from the century before last. Classic, lots of wood, desk next to it, a minibar, two nice chairs and a large and comfortable bed. Opposite there is a TV screen that is a little too small. The closet, right in the hallway there is a spacious closet with light and mirror. Opposite, also classic, is the bathroom with a bathtub, bidet, shower and hairdryer. The sink is decorated with a small bathroom fixture. Very chic and clean. WiFi was available all the time. Netflix (possible via the hotel's own TV) without buffering or playback problems. Very good. The only thing that doesn't reflect the four stars is the breakfast. Toast, rolls, cornflakes, jam, fruit, eggs and sausages, bacon, cheese and sausage, everything is there. Two coffee machines for various hot drinks. However, this is also available in 2 and 3 star hotels. The coffee or cappuccino is okay, but not from beans, more like Nescafé. It was sufficient, it was good, but not enough for a really good hotel. Therefore only 3 out of 5 for breakfast. Everything together, price (flight/breakfast/4.5 days, location (15 minutes from the bus and train station, 20 minutes to Rialto), appearance, and above all the really nice and competent staff get 5 out of 5.

17/03/2024: This was our third vacation in Venice, always in different hotels and this hotel was by far the best!!! The hotel is located directly on a canal and you can sit comfortably in front of it, enjoy a drink or eat something. Centrally located, just a few minutes from the water bus, lively shopping streets and cozy restaurants. The hotel's furnishings are in the typical Venetian style, very high quality, well maintained and with attention to detail. We had a double room, I found it to be larger than average for Venice. (estimated 20 square meters) There was a double bed, a couch, desk and several storage options. The reception was very friendly, attentive and possible in various languages. We were given tips for excursions and, at our request, two employees took the trouble to find directions to a specific place across Venice for us. 👍 The breakfast was very extensive, warm, cold, sweet and savory - there was really something for everyone. But above all, fresh! The buffet was always well filled, the employees were quick and very attentive. Room service was thorough and made our stay complete. Those were a successful 6 days in Venice and we will definitely come back, but definitely only to the Ai Mori d' Oriente Hotel 🏨 Thank you very much for the loving service!!! Grazie mille ☀️

31/03/2024: Let me start by saying that my review is a bit particular because I DO NOT eat fish... They shouldn't even have let me in in a restaurant like this. However, with appropriate notice, the owners worked hard to please me as well as the other five people at my table. Excellent result, in particular the gorgonzola pasta, the best I've ever eaten. Instead, I report the opinion of the other diners who eat the fish and how... Absolutely satisfied, I would say. Compliments.
