08/01/2024: To unwind, what better idea than spending some time in the mountains?
02/01/2024: New Year's Eve at the property with overnight stay (two nights) + New Year's Eve dinner. We were a nice group of hikers, we had a very good time, a welcoming, well-equipped room, heated and with every comfort, including a corner to lounge while waiting for dinner. The friendly staff, the excellent cuisine. More than a refuge, it is a pleasant little hotel, located in a strategic position at the mouth of the valley that rises to the Gardetta plateau.

03/11/2023: Lou Dahou is beautifully located in the Maira Valley, great views of the mountains. The pitches are spacious and well demarcated by wooden beams. You can sit nicely on the building's terrace. There is a shop with regional products, you can find everything you need here. There is good fresh bread and croissants to buy. We will be back! Were there for a few days at the end of September. The German owners are happy to give tips for things to do in the region.
21/10/2023: Mega backdrop in the middle of the mountains. Tipis, tents and simple mobile homes, the fascination of nature. Excellent meat and beer specialties from the region... My insider tip for hikers and mountain bikers 👍.

19/08/2023: Rifugio raggiungibile in auto quindi comodissimo ma bisogna prenotare perché, cucinando tutto al momento ed avendo poco personale, non possono soddisfare troppi clienti.
Però vi assicuro che la prenotazione vale la pena: cibo buonissimo, personale gentile e vista spettacolare!
I ravioles con fonduta di toma sono spaziali, vitello tonnato ottimo e non parliamo dei dolci: torta carote e cioccolato soffice e fetta abbondante, panna cotta all'achillea semplicemente divina, con latte e panna freschi di qualità e un sapore davvero particolare...e che dire dei prezzi, molto onesti: 2 primi, 1 secondo, 2 dolci, 2 birre, 1 caffè e acqua offerta 53 euro, praticamente per la quantità e qualità avuti un nulla!
Complimenti davvero ai ragazzi che gestiscono questo poco e alla cuoca bravissima, torneremo sicuramente!

Rifugio Gardetta Restaurant

03/09/2023: Dopo un bel tragitto in e bike, ci fermiamo per pranzo in questo rifugio, pranzo all’aperto, polenta concia e polenta con salciccia, porzioni decisamente abbondanti e buone. Dolce, torta mele e crema molto buono. Costo nella norma per il luogo.
Personale di servizio molto gentile!
05/08/2023: Ottima location con vista, circondati dall’immensità e dal silenzio della natura e dalle marmotte.
Abbiamo fatto aperitivo e cena. Tutto ottimo e abbondante. Lasagne sia rosse che vegetariane, tacchino arrosto con verdure arrosto, succulente. Ottimo il dolce. Porzioni davvero abbondanti. Prezzi adeguati. Personale molto gentile e accogliente.
