06/04/2024: We had lunch the week before Easter, the place has been renovated and is brighter. The staff were kind and affable. The food was as excellent as I remembered it. We chose menus at €28 including 2 first courses, 2 second courses and 2 desserts. All really good with a touch of originality and refinement. I highly recommend it.

03/03/2024: Ottimi in tutto, e la pizza come la pensano le tue papille... lì la trovi, e non è facile, ottimo impasto e ingredienti veramente buoni, dal pomodoro ai formaggi, ed anche mai avari.

13/10/2023: We stayed at Payarin for almost a month and it became our home. Beyond the location which is very nice, we were immediately welcomed in a warm way, the staff is fantastic and super hospitable, especially Andrea and Carlo who made us feel part of the place with kindness and joy.
12/10/2023: I had the pleasure of staying here with my team for a film production. The experience at Payarin was truly unforgettable, Andrea's welcome and Carlo's professionalism were impeccable. All my colleagues agreed with me that this was our best hotel experience we went to for work. We were welcomed and pampered, with the owner and the staff who came to meet us and worked hard to always make us feel like we were in first place. The hotel has a breathtaking view, ensures you have silence but also offers enough activities and walks to be able to enjoy the environment and nature. Delicious food, a great place to spend a stay with your friends, colleagues, or both. Highly recommended! We will be back soon

05/02/2024: Very central, nice. A cross between an English pub and a mountain hut bar. Pleasant, in the end.
The owners are kind, the quality of the raw materials is more than sufficient. Bruschettas which are slices of bread, but tasty. Particular sandwiches in the combinations, curious.
Moretti draft beer, excellent as always.
Slightly high prices and request for cash payment not in line with a holiday or transit location like Ormea: I would recommend taking action on this. We are used to paying for parking with our mobile phones, for a brunch the POS would be the minimum.

08/01/2024: Capitati per caso di domenica a pranzo in questa accogliente osteria, dove probabilmente il più anziano dello staff a trent’anni, ma la cortesia ha un sapore antico. Nonostante non avessimo prenotato e il locale fosse pieno si sono adoperati per trovarci un posto. Il servizio è stato molto rapido ed efficiente. I piatti deliziosi.
11/08/2023: Conosciamo questo incantevole posto da anni,soggiorni brevi,vacanze di settimane,soste tra una tappa e l'altra...al netto di irrisori problemi che possono insorgere in una qualsiasi attività (in questo caso bar ristorazione camere camerate campeggio ecc ecc) . Non dimenticarsi mai che a 1400 m avere tutto quello 3che vi offre la locanda,nn lo si trova in tanti altri luoghi, compresi quelli in città dove tutto è più semplice. per cui lunga vita alla locanda e a chi la tiene viva. 🥰

Prenotiamo per Luglio una casetta Star Box. Il gestore ( dopo aver intascato la caparra da 50€) mi avvisa che per un bug del sistema dobbiamo cambiare data. Prenotiamo ad Agosto ma a causa del tempo decidiamo di rimandare. Spostiamo la prenotazione a Settembre avvisando che saremmo arrivati in serata. Il sentiero la sera è buio, inaccessibile e pericoloso e nessuno si è offerto di magari consentirci di arrivare in macchina. A metà sentiero abbiamo deciso di tornare indietro. Gestione delle Star box molto deludente con ZERO attenzione per il cliente. A mai più

15/10/2023: Locale molto spazioso con tanti tavoli. Personale cortese e simpatico . Purtroppo non siamo rimasti soddisfatti della qualità del cibo in rapporto al prezzo pagato . Porzioni nella norma . Tagliolini ai funghi e salsiccia annegati nel sugo di pomodoro tanto che si perdeva il gusto. Brasato tagliato in 2 fette sottilissime . Buoni i dolci . Manca un buon rapporto qualità porzioni e prezzo
27/09/2023: Una notte in hotel al San Carlo abbiamo pranzato e cenato presso il ristorante dell'hotel stesso.
Devo dire che ho trovato professionalità, gentilezza, una buona scelta di piatti e tutto quello che ho assaggiato davvero buona soprattutto il tiramisù, la trota nelle varie versioni, ho trovato anche la mia passione, la torta verde. Sicuramente torneremo a trovarli.
Belle anche le camminate da fare nei dintorni.
Prezzo congruo per quello che ho mangiato.

26/08/2023: Siamo tornati oggi per in questo ristorante/rifugio dopo esserci gia’ stati tempo fa. Il posto sempre bello e accogliente, abbiamo pranzato fuori nel porticato davanti al prato.
Il mangiare una vera delusione…4 antipastini ridicoli anche per quantita, un tagliolino al ragu’ praticamente scondito e il dolce, il pezzo forte, un pezzo di crostatina del discount.
Facendo menu ridotto senza secondo abbiamo pagato per intero con acqua e bibite a parte.
Prezzo 32 euro a persona…
