24/03/2024: Five stars are few to describe this truly exceptional family-run restaurant, the food is uniquely good, one of the owners, who is also the restaurant manager, is very nice without his stopping for a joke at the tables compromising the service which is very fast and precise. Despite being a family restaurant, the decor is modern and minimalist. The place is very clean (including the bathroom). An honorable mention must be made for the home-made Padre Peppe served at the table in watering cans. If you want to have a taste of Murgia cuisine, hospitality and warmth, this place must be on your road map.

29/03/2024: The restaurant is a very characteristic environment and consists of several rooms. Very nice atmosphere that puts you at ease. The staff, young, absolutely trained and professional but polite and friendly but never intrusive. The menu consists of a few but excellent courses. The price is appropriate for the quality of the food offered. I also had the possibility and need to stay overnight in one of their rooms. Since it is an inn, as such you shouldn't expect who knows what. The room was welcoming, the bathroom clean and equipped with the bare minimum. So don't expect TVs and hairdryers. For the rest everything is ok. Outside, on the main entrance, the small square with a car park. I left the motorbike there without any kind of problem.

03/04/2024: this place offers a menu full of special and tasty dishes that go far beyond pizzas, prepared in the typical Murgia tradition, but reinterpreted with a Pop twist by Michele the pizza maker. Gin in this pizzeria challenges one of the most beloved pairings at the table, pizza and beer. Unlike beer, it would indeed seem that Gin tends not to ferment especially when in combo with pizza. I savored some of the dishes on the menu while munching on his proposed gin, Aqua Luce, which I can confirm, made my stomach more prone to digestion. The secret of the more than 40 pizzas you can taste here lies in the temperature-controlled natural maturation technique that ensures a dough prepared in the traditional way, guaranteeing high digestibility without compromising taste. Reason why if you are looking for a highly digestible pizza that leaves you satisfied without weighing you down my suggestion is to try it as soon as you come to these parts. Stellar appetizer not to be missed Buffalo mozzarella wrapped in soft mortadella, breaded and gently fried in Panco along with egg and flour. All served on a bed of cream of zucchini, enriched with a chili bell pepper jam. The next course the "Palino," a pizza alla pala with sautéed vegetable cardoncelli with wild fennel, fior di latte, grana cheese coming out cooked pancetta and yellow datterino, fried Altamura bread crumbs, smelled of Murgia with a crispy aftertaste of the dough wonderfully flavored by the crumb. At plate number three, I reached my personal apotheosis of pleasure. "Fresh tuna cut into carpaccio, fried artichokes and homemade mayonnaise with Murgia herbs (marjoram thyme sage rosemary) served with strictly homemade bread made with cereal flour." The thick, full-bodied mayonnaise with its delicate taste and creaminess perfectly enveloped the tuna carpaccio, which was so fresh that it melted in your mouth and you wanted to eat it endlessly. The next course, with its bold, bold taste, transported me to the heart of Lucania. this pizza is a stroke of genius: stracciatella, the 'nduja, pezzente sausage and a crispy Crusco bell pepper breadcrumbs. It cannot be explained but tasted, especially if you have never in your life encountered the flavor of peperone Crusco or if you know it and are certain you can't live without it. Try it I recommend making a reservation, it is always full, from Tuesday start calling to secure your place at the table.

26/02/2024: Ristorante Calvi è una conferma ogni volta. Tutto lo staff è sempre attento alle necessità del cliente che lo serve con una grande professionalità. Grande scelta di vini, menù accattivante con delle portate buonissime, il pane preparato dallo chef è qualcosa di meraviglioso. Ogni volta che sono ad Altamura questo locale è una tappa obbligatoria. Questa volta mi sono recato sul posto proprio per deliziarmi due sere consecutive con il menù dello chef, e non sono stato deluso dalle mie aspettative. Ogni cena che ho fatto è stato un viaggio nei sapori, la mia solita richiesta allo chef è una portata a suo piacimento ..... anche questa volta ha fatto pieno centro. GRAZIE MILLE

21/03/2024: Molto bella la sala con alcuni tavoli muniti di divanetto. Piatti tipici della cucina romana quali carbonare, cacio e pepe, amatriciana oppure cacio e pepe con tartufo. Primi costituiti da una buona porzione ben condita. L'amatriciana molto buona (prezzo 11.00 €.). Personale simpatico e giovanile.

High quality meat, both in terms of cut and quality, the ham was very good while the bruschetta didn't fully convince me. Ample and free parking. In general, a place where you are on the safe side.
