18/03/2024: Passing through the Trani-Bisceglie area, we are attracted by the presence of numerous grill restaurants in Corato, not far away. But this one surprises us as it has grafted the tradition of the wood fire onto the cooking of the chicken on the spit (therefore, on the flame and not on the grill). A perfect combination: the chicken is of the "campese" type - that is, raised on the ground and on average heavier (a good 30-40%) than the classic supermarket rotisserie chicken; but, above all, it is cooked in the flame of excellent wood, in an excellently fueled maxi wood-fired oven. Exceptional exquisite flavour, very helpful staff. The room consists of an external air-conditioned terrace, well insulated, with restaurant-style seating and treatment. The grilled meat offerings are varied in each case (chicken is the protagonist); for lunch they also offer classic catering, for dinner there is more grilled food, but it is possible to order upon reservation. Judging by the number of takeaway customers, they feed half the country on a Saturday night at home. The owner, very kind, showed me how the wood oven and the entire apparatus work. Exceptional value for money, also due to the excellent default offers which include large drinks (Cola, beer, etc.). I definitely recommend it and, if I'm passing through soon, I intend to return

01/01/2024: Non conoscevo l'osteria, l'ho trovata cercando online un posto dove mangiar bene a capodanno a Corato. Devo dire che l'ho trovato il posto tranquillo al di sopra delle mie aspettative: rustico, ben frequentato, dal servizio impeccabile e dalla cucina semplice e strepitosa, fatta di prodotti locali composti con grande maestria. Il baccalà con i ceci neri, i lampascioni con funghi e cavolo rosso, la mini moussaka, i ravioli cacio e pepe, lo stracotto di maialino, sono solo alcune delle portate semplicemente strepitose che abbiamo degustato, irrorate da un nero di troia della cantina torrevento (inclusa nel prezzo del menù) "è arte". È proprio arte culinaria quella gustata oggi. Complimenti allo chef per la sua abilità nel rendere straordinaria la semplicità, esaltando i gusti di alimenti semplici della tradizione pugliese, complimenti anche a tutto il personale, cortese ed attento ai particolari. Abbiamo trascorso un bellissimo capodanno. Rapporto qualità - prezzo giusto. Lo consiglio.

09/03/2024: While passing through Corato we wanted to try a meat-based dinner in a "typical" restaurant. The butcher shop with cooking service format is quite widespread in the village, there are several, but on the advice of a friend we went to Rubio's. Once we entered the restaurant we were greeted with a smile by a nice crew, behind the meat counter there was a gentleman who very politely and politely explained to us the different cuts/types of meat and how they were offered and the different specialties. After the selection we sat down at the table and in the space of a few minutes they brought both drinks and food to the table. We liked everything we chose, cooking and seasonings spot on. We spent the right amount in relation to the quality of the meat, the venue, the service and the format. If I return to Corato we will return.

22/02/2024: Posto perfetto per una rimpatriata tra amiche. Abbiamo degustato una serie di polpette (chiamate “binari”), in tutto 9 gusti differenti. Le varie polpette erano abbinate a sughi o creme molto particolari, dal datterino giallo alla crema di cacio. I gusti delle polpette erano fuori dal comune, zucca, verza, baccalà, manzo, galletto e altri vari. La genuinità delle polpette, sta anche negli ingredienti di addensamento: patate e uova. Perfette anche per il nostro intestino. Non può mancare la simpatia di Rosanna che ci ha descritto i piatti con sorriso e ironia, e inoltre le tempistiche del servizio sono state eccellenti.

01/04/2024: All the good and genuine and quality, the service and the kindness of the owner (Pino), that can be found in a farmhouse, today 04/01/24 (Easter Monday) was all integrated, we stayed with the pasha, we also celebrated at surprised a dear friend for her birthday with a cake delivered by Mr Pino to the farmhouse, and with all their complicity also by the DJ, a surprise happy birthday greeting was announced with the entrée of the cake accompanied by dedicated music, and then you dance endlessly. SATISFIED!!. Thanks Pino!!

24/01/2024: On the occasion of my nephew's first birthday I had the opportunity to enjoy the place surrounded by olive trees. I would say the dishes were excellent! 5 stars to the staff.
