31/10/2023: Nous avons été ravis par la qualité et la fraicheur des produits proposés. Beaucoup de poissons crus. Une très belle adresse à Otranto. Le restaurant offre une jolie vue sur le port. La décoration est agréable et l'accueil chaleureux.

06/04/2024: If you are in Otranto, you MUST visit this place. We have been many times, and it’s a great spot to sit out in the old town, with good beer and wine, watching the world go by. The owner and his son are so welcoming, and really go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. They have welcomed our dog Bob, and always bring him water, and a friendly pat! We have eaten here (annd certainly will do again!). The food was the best we’ve had in Italy so far. We are here until the end of May, and look forward to bringing our visiting friends to this lovely friendly place.

Very easy place to reach, although close to the main street, it enjoys privacy and a unique atmosphere🤩🤩🤩 Immersed in nature, it feels like being in an exclusive destination where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful places in Salento in total relaxation. And then the kitchen. Spectacular. Traditional but also refined dishes, excellent raw materials. Very nice restaurant and excellent value for money!!! Highly recommended

18/03/2024: A beautiful experience regarding the food, a little less regarding the customer/restaurateur relationship of trust. I was offered a first course with fresh fish, I was told that a redfish (large, 1 kg by eye) would be enough which they showed us to make 5 first courses (2 adults and 3 children), I accepted thinking of paying a maximum of 20/22 euros, taking into account the price per kg, for each dish and instead they arrived together with the first TWO filleted scorpion fish (one large, one smaller) for a total cost of 140 euros for the first courses alone. It didn't seem right to me.

23/03/2024: We came from afar, we stood in a huge queue for a platter and a bottle of wine, and the ladies at the counter told us ''too many people, we don't carry platters'' Very serious.

09/09/2023: I think I can say without a shadow of a doubt that it is the best ice cream shop in Otranto, all the flavors are delicious, but the basil one in particular is SPECTACULAR! Good good good! Very kind staff not to mention the owner who is also very kind and friendly.

07/03/2024: The freshest seafood in Europe I'd say! The cold starter of jumbo prawns - gamberoni rossi - was a revelation. Simply out of this world, so sweet and juicy, and above all, fresh. I still dream about them! My friend from HongKong was in heaven when presented with the cold starter selection - all unbelievably fresh and delicious. The wine is outstanding to match the standard of the food. The service is friendly and very helpful. When we visited, Tiziano and his wife Rita who run the restaurant were at hand to advise us and their choices and friendliness made the visit pretty unforgettable. We'll be returning there every time we visit Brindisi. A complete gem of a family run restaurant with the best food ever!

03/03/2024: I was lucky enough to recently dine at Ristorante Da Umberto in Otranto, and boy, what a find! Already from the outside, the place invites you to enter, with that terrace that seems made especially for enjoying a summer evening in the company of a good fish dish. Service? Impeccable. They make you feel as if you were the only customer in the restaurant, with attention and attention to detail that are now rare to find. And then, the staff knows their stuff: they guide you in choosing the dishes with competence and passion, telling you the story behind each ingredient. You can tell they love what they do. But let's move on to the highlight of the evening: the food. I chose a seafood appetizer that was a poem to the palate, followed by a spaghetti with seafood that made me seriously think about moving to Otranto just to eat it every day. And the fish? Very fresh, cooked to perfection, with that flavor of the sea that makes you close your eyes and smile. I didn't think that a dinner could transform into an almost mystical experience, but Da Umberto succeeded. And then, having dinner under that pergola, with the evening breeze caressing you... guys, it was like living a dream. In conclusion, if you are in Otranto and are looking for a place to eat well, Da Umberto is the place for you. It's not just eating, it's having an experience that will stay with you. I can't wait to go back.

01/04/2024: A very beautiful place, very close to the sea, lots of colors but unfortunately on a very windy day it was almost unusable.. But unfortunately the only place available was outside... We took a seat and ordered some typical food. Honestly, it didn't fully satisfy our palates... the change in pasta on the menu is mostly first courses. Good yes, but with one big flaw, they were cold, completely cold and therefore devoid of that taste given by the heat... The quality/quantity/price ratio is a bit high.. and we are not yet in the middle of summer.. all in all nice..

10/03/2024: With a view of the splendid sea of ​​Otranto, it is the ideal place for everything... from a quick aperitif to a romantic dinner!

26/03/2024: Spectacular to say the least! Brand new menu except for a few dishes such as the timeless pappardelle, prawns, almonds and burrata and saffron cream! And what can we say about the mezze sleeves with basil, scampi and crusco pepper! Contrasting but at the same time very balanced flavours! Quality raw materials and staff super kind! Advised !!!

06/03/2024: We had dinner on the last evening spent in Otranto. Very nice outdoor area (although there was often a bad smell of sewage, probably because the place is located in a small alley). I have to say that the dinner and the quality of the food were good overall, I recommend the joyous trio to be divided into two. VERY negative note in my opinion, two glasses of rosé wine €16... for a bottle that wasn't worth more than €10. Obviously the prices of the glasses on the menu were not present.

04/10/2023: Very good lunch on the terrace, the starter and the seafood pasta were delicious. It's not easy to find a good restaurant among the tourist traps. Peccato di Vino is clearly worth the detour.

01/02/2024: Spent a sum and my companions don't even offer the bitters! Without words . Place for 10 but treatment for 3. (p.s. among other things I got 2 tonics for €5 each + gift bottle signed by the guy who made the gin for our friend j rose) (ps gin to very good ) (we came in August 2023 and also 2022). But we wagnu the bitter HONESTY!

Luckily we came early enough so we could still get a table, because, as the evening progressed, the restaurant quickly filled up with customers. The service was very friendly and professional, although their English is limited. I really liked the fact that the waiter showed us the freshly caught fish, so we could pick whichever fish we liked. The food was excellent. After sharing some antipasti with my boyfriend I had octopus as a starter and lobster as a main course. I finished off my meal with al lovely pasticciotto.
