Authentic environment with attention to detail, where you can breathe love for the cuisine and the place, which allows you to taste traditional but surprising dishes, which fascinates from the first moment for its originality, courtesy, elegance, goodness of food and.. last but not least… the hospitality of the owners!
TO TRY WITHOUT A DOUBT, because I believe there are plenty of places like this.
Accessible in terms of prices.

24/02/2024: Well done. Tasty, simple and genuine cakes. The ice cream shop is excellent and the coffee at the counter is delicious. But also sugared almonds and small pastries, including dry ones. Lots of seating inside and covered outside.

20/09/2023: La struttura offre molte possibilità per organizzare i propri eventi .C'è una zona, con un ampio prato all'inglese ed una bella piscina adatto ad eventi piu eleganti ed un altra zona che rispecchia lo stile caratteristico delle masserie salentine per eventi più informali.

17/03/2024: Good food but service not up to par. The menu offers many choices, but first of all we chose a pizza for which, after a few minutes, they told us that the main ingredient was missing (they offered us an alternative which, among other things, they charged us €1.50 in). more), then we chose the desserts, 3 cheesecakes and 1 souffle. After a few minutes the waiter returns telling us that they had served them at another table and he could only offer us 3 panna cottas. After another few minutes he comes back saying that they only have 2 panna cottas and a tiramisu. We clearly ask the waiter to have them with Nutella and caramel, and they make a mistake by bringing flavors that have nothing to do with them, and we are forced to keep them because there was nothing else.
Finally, speaking of the bill, which is exaggerated, paying €30 per person for a fried dish divided into 4, pizzas and 3 desserts for 4 always seems exaggerated to me.

14/09/2023: Excellent pizza and rotisserie. The place is quiet and it feels really good. The products are all made to perfection AND with quality ingredients. The potato croquette is highly recommended.
07/09/2023: Pretty spartan place, a typical "seasonal" place in short. Staff who are not very courteous and not very attentive (they argue with each other in the presence of customers). The service is slow and they even forgot our order. The thing that immediately catches your eye is undoubtedly the already quite high price list... as if that wasn't enough for a sprinkle of parmesan on top of the pizza they added €2.
A simple crudaiola of €8.50 can cost €10.50.
It's a real shame that I had to list all this series of negative things because the pizzas are really good.

As soon as I entered I felt at home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with simple but traditional decor.
The menu offers a wide variety of typical dishes, prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients (the donkey ragù is excellent). Every bite is full of flavor and you can feel the heart that went into preparing the food.
But the real gem of this restaurant is the owner. With his warmth and friendliness, he made me feel like an old friend. His passion for food and local culture is evident in every story and tip he shares.

19/09/2023: Una cena da truffa per il conto: € 130 a persona perche’il titolare, senza portare la lista dei vini, ha consigliato e aperto bottiglie di un vino rosso Tignanello (toscano) che non conoscevamo e in seguito addebitato per centinaia di euro;
evitate di entrare a cenare perche’l’intento del titolare e’sottrarre subdolamente denaro dai commensali in un locale indegno di rimanere aperto

Serrati Salvatore Pizzeria

23/12/2023: Questo locale reca l’insegna “il caminetto”, mentre serrati Salvatore è il nome del suo storico fondatore. In realtà, la pizzeria è nota in paese con un altro nome, che fa riferimento al soprannome della famiglia serrati. Il locale aprì nell’81, ad opera di un giovane che aveva già lavorato nella pizzeria di famiglia a casalabate. La pizzeria il caminetto fu la prima a squinzano ad avere il forno a legna, ed è ad oggi la più antica tra quelle ancora in attività in paese. Nata in un locale molto piccolo, col tempo si è espansa inglobando vari spazi che si andavano liberando accanto. Per questa ed altre ragioni, il decor del caminetto è un’invereconda accozzaglia di stili. Negli anni ha cercato di diversificare l’offerta gastronomica, ma la pizza è sempre rimasta il core business. Al momento è una semplice pizzeria di un irrilevante paese di un’area depressa del sud italia. Ha i suoi pregi, ha i suoi difetti. Un po’ come tutto, nella vita…
