11/09/2023: My husband and I are on holiday on Elba. During a walk in Rio Marina we stumbled upon this small and charming ice cream shop near the church, in the center of the town. It is a totally gluten free ice cream shop, from the cones to the ice cream, through to the granitas, the cakes and everything else. Obviously, as a celiac, I was totally amazed and we returned the next day too. Furthermore, in addition to the immense happiness of having discovered a totally gluten-free place, there is also the fact that the ice cream is super good, creamy and with a lot of variety of flavours. The granitas are also excellent. The prices are those of a normal ice cream shop without any surcharge. The guy who works there is nice, friendly, affable and advises you on the flavors to choose in case of indecision. I highly recommend it and it is not at all obvious that there is a good ice cream shop in this small town that is 100% suitable for us celiacs. If you pass by here don't hesitate to stop It's truly assistance and a super pleasant break for us greedy people, celiac or otherwise

07/04/2024: I cannot judge the quality of the restaurant's dishes as 6 of us ordered 5 pizzas and a mixed starter. However, I will make a point: the appetizer and pizzas were served almost an hour later than usual. In a typical restaurant, this is not done. The pizzas then arrived after our request. It had never happened to me that I didn't finish it and like me the other four friends too. We left some a quarter of it on the plate, some more than half. The pasta was hard and overcooked but the worst thing was the plastic-like mozzarella once cooled and the paucity of ingredients that garnished the dish. The seafood pizzas were stuffed with a handful of shriveled mussels and a bit of lupins. Only the dessert was saved. All for €25 each. I don't think I will go back.

10/10/2023: Dopo un'angosciante viaggetto scavallando il volterraio siamo arrivati in questo buon ristorante dove abbiamo apprezzato il menù e logicamente quanto abbiamo ordinato: tutto buonissimo; altrettanto apprezzato il servizio e la professionalità del personale e della cucina. Ci torneremo senza alcun dubbio.

06/01/2024: Sono stato all'Elba per fine e inizio anno 2024 per una vacanza di pesca ...mi sono recato in questo bel locale caratteristico a Cavo...personale molto gentile e simpatico e specialmente il titolare Claudio ....pizza davvero ottima ...tappa fissa se uno passa da Cavo anche in inverno....alla prossima appena tornerò all'Elba continuate così👏

01/01/2024: Dopo il capodanno passato con amici, primo dell'anno a pranzo in questa incantevole pizzeria bordo mare. Nonostante la stagione , tavoli all'esterno, atmosfera familiare, padrone e cameriere gentilissimi. Servizio veloce nonostante fosse pieno. Pizze deliziose croccanti ma morbide condite con ingredienti prima qualità. Da leccarsi i baffi. Pizza salsiccia e friarelli, calzone pizza mistral al top. Ritorneremo sicuramente .

13/09/2023: Piacevole scoperta a Rio Marina. Localino piccolo ma accogliente avevamo il cane e non ci hanno fatto alcun problema. Pesce fresco e cucinato con un po' di fantasia. Da provare assolutamente i gnocchi al polpo con salsa di pomodorini gialli. Forse un po' lento il servizio ma in vacanza non avevamo fretta e poi siamo stati ripagati dalla bontà.

10/01/2024: Excellent cuisine, especially fish. The mixed starter, all the first courses and red snapper (or the catch recommended by the chef) baked with vegetables are recommended. A delicious hot focaccia is usually served along with the dishes. Dessert? trifle all my life. In the eastern Elba area it is top.

03/10/2023: Proprio sul mare, quindi vista incantevole sia di giorno sia di sera. Servizio veloce, cordiale e disponibile. Pizze molto buone, fra i dolci il semifreddo menta e cioccolato è davvero da provare!
