02/04/2024: I RECOMMEND !!!!! Discovered by chance last week while wandering around Tuscany. We stopped, tasted, and came back again the next day for their delicious sandwich. Found out that they also have an e-shop and deliver to the Czech Republic too!!

05/03/2024: King Arthur's tavern is located in the center of Pienza, open all the time. The menu consists of various local dishes. I recommend the stuffed bread croutons, we took the ones with lard and honey, bacon and pistachio cream and a third with ham and pecorino, nice big and tasty, accompanied by a mixed platter of Tuscan cheeses and cured meats. All these plus two glasses of wine we spent around 45 euros, let's say you pay a lot for the place and the 0 km raw materials. But all very good

01/04/2024: The best vegetarian burger I’ve ever tasted. Everyone else had a meat dish which was also very good but I had to comment on the burger as it was delicious.

31/03/2024: Extremely authentic restaurant. It has 5 tables. Cared for by its owners. You can't reserve, but it's worth going and waiting for a table. The lasagna is really delicious, one of the best I've ever eaten. Also the cheeses are delicious.

04/04/2024: Small but very nice and welcoming place. Excellent choice between starters, first courses, burgers and meat. The lamb chop was divine. The sandwiches were delicious. The staff are super friendly and helpful. It feels like being at dinner with friends. Advised. (The top of the top... nutella or caramel cheesecake)

29/12/2023: Out of time, pleasant and welcoming from all points of view. We feel naturally transported into a reality opposite to the virtual one that surrounds us. Here people have simple values, desires are needs and together they can be achieved. They understood it.

31/03/2024: We returned after several years, Baccus' cuisine is always a guarantee. Nice typical and characteristic restaurant in the center of beautiful Pienza. Highly recommended.

29/03/2024: We stopped in Pienza to do a little Pecorino tasting and found this spot. The we ordered the cheese platter with 7 cheeses and for the price it was plenty and tasted amazing. The staff was super friendly and we liked the comfortable atmosphere. We also took our two favorite cheeses from the tasting home (the fresh pecorino as well as the the pecorino di grotta) at a very good price. We can totally recommend! :)

19/03/2024: A little place where it is absolutely worth a stop. La Sosta Del Rossellino wine shop. Intimate, well-furnished place, with an old fireplace that immediately warms your soul. Small terrace with countryside view. The cuisine is creative, the raw materials are excellent and worked in a fabulous way. An eye towards Sicily, the chickpea panelle and the aubergine caponata are excellent. Parmesan bake with delicious truffle (Agatina made an encore), liver pâté with candied yuzu peel, and excellent quality Tuscan cold cuts. And since they specialize in fresh pasta we opted for Tortelli with black cabbage and fresh garlic cream (garlic is not aggressive at all, in fact very delicate). Spaghetti alla Villanella, with artichokes, pine nuts, raisins, breadcrumbs, anchovies. And potato tortelli with meat sauce. Each dish accompanied with a wine pairing. To finish, a spectacular cannoli and tartare. Also accompanied by fortified wines. Kind, friendly service, never heavy. Prices/quality I would say excellent. Compliments.

03/04/2024: NO COMMENT ??? No Comment why?!? What about when the ingredients are of the highest quality? When are they elaborated and assembled with expert craftsmanship? When are they served with genuine sympathy? How can we find the appropriate words to express gratitude to those who allow us to enjoy such excellence? For me "BACCANO" PRATRIMONIO OF HUMANITY...like the Historic Center in which it is set. If you find a queue at the door, don't give up. The wait will be abundantly rewarded by the traditional nature of this place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Lino (Genoa)
