24/09/2023: Posto carino e bella location . Locale che dispone di giochi all aperto e personale gentile. , simpatico e disponibile . Prezzi Altini su alcune cose e abbastanza economici su altre . Buonissimi pizza, canederli con gulasch (i migliori che ho mangiato) e dolci (migliore strudel) . Buoni anche affettati e formaggi

02/12/2023: Posto molto carino rustico d ben arredato , cucina tipica d di buona qualità come i loro prodotti, abbiamo assaggiato antipasto abbondante per una persona ,come del resto anche primi piatti e secondi , non siamo riusciti ad assaggiare i dolci eravamo sazi 😂😂😂

22/09/2023: Al Cacciatore has been the rifugio with the worse value for money during my 4 week hike (from Bodensee to Lago di Garda). These are facts and not personal judgments 1) despite I hast asked several times for a half board, they charged everything separately and finally made it for 69 € (when in all rifugios of Italy, private or of from the Club Alpino Italiano, price goes from 53 to 58 €) 2) location and installation: altitude is quite low (1900 m) so the view on the mountains is not very impressive and is not too sunny, it is quite dirty around the rifugio, there are no flowers and the terrace is not well kept, 3) facilities: dormitories (small) and sanitaries are correct and clean but electronic devices can be charged in the dining room only when the generator is working (2 hours in the evening and 2 hours in the morning) 4) overpriced food for what you get, although deliveries are coming by the road (cheaper and more convenient than by cable or helicopter): poor meals in quantity (small bowl of soup for 8 €, polenta with melted cheese for 10 €, "complete dish" of 3 balls of meat and some sauerkraut for 13 €) and quality (only polenta, no pasta or gnocchis, or antipasti of ham and cheese, as anywhere else in Italy, nothing fresh, even not the pastries, no fruits and vegetables and even not a single piece of bread for breakfast ! 5) petyness : hot showers are 5 € (3 € anywhere else), water from the tap (supposed filtered) for 3 € (the price of mineral water), poor quality wine.... I read that it was a new management. Five other guests (Dutchs and Americans, no Italians) have spent the night and paid full price (no half board). Apparently the two managers want to take advantage of being registered in the new guidebooks for the hiking route from Bodensee to Lago del Garda. I recommend stopping for lunch or for the overnight in Rifugio Agostini at 2400 m (2 hour walk from Al Cacciatiore): it is lovely, well maintained, with delicious food, a fantastic view on the mountains and it is cheaper !

26/09/2023: Io e mia moglie decidiamo di passare il nostro anniversario in un posto dove si possa stare in pace, lontano da tutto. Nessun posto più azzeccato di castel mani,posto magico ,una vista a 360 sulla valle sottostante,camere scrupolosamente pulite,nuove,perfette. Oste ,chef (propietario) super cordiale sempre pronto a dar consigli! Tutto lo Staff merita per la professionalità! Torneremo!
