Ah yes, then there is a choice of bitters offered (I took the liquorice one, which was very good), not all places offer them, they are small things that still make the difference.

05/03/2024: 11/06/2022 . I took a lunch break at the Antonio Curò refuge on a trek from Valbondione to Lake Barbellino, Sword in the Rock. Good view, friendliness and local, well-prepared food. The Antonio Curò refuge located in the pleasant and sunny basin of the Barbellino Basin is located in front of the magnificent crests of Recastello and Pizzo Coca, while in the background the double peak of Monte Torena closes the wide panorama. The refuge is located in the heart of the Bergamo Orobie park, the area of ​​artificial and natural lakes and the numerous peaks that surround it (20 peaks over 2700 m). Certainly one of the most frequented by hikers from Bergamo, this deserves to be traveled far and wide as it presents itself as a fundamental junction on the Orobie path, here you can choose whether to end at the ref. Tagliaferri or at the ref. Albani.

Some of the popular proposals: cuttlefish ravioli stuffed with red prawn, Black code with Jerusalem artichoke and onion chips, sea heart fusillo and seaweed, eel with rosemary and honey. These are just some of the dishes tasted. Everything truly lives up to the newly confirmed star, in an environment that predisposes to conviviality. Unfortunately, the broth was not very tasty compared to the amount of spices I expected, but I will reserve one star for the next lunch where I will try to be more careful. For everything else, especially speed and courtesy, also 6 stars
