We came to a lively inn for lunch. A lot of waiters and cooks were employed, so we were served quickly. When I asked if it was cooked with meat, I was assured that it was not. As soon as the waiter brought the food, a piece of meat floated inside. They apologized and did not charge for these meals, but still left a bad aftertaste. She wouldn't come back because they were cheating.

If you want to eat good Trieste boiled meat you can't miss coming here! In the center of Trieste you can eat inside or at outdoor tables. Very fast service and quality meat. Courteous and accommodating staff. Very good price.

Amazing place with Austrian influence. Food is at its best in its simplicity, and this place does everything well. Loved the food, service and atmosphere. Great location as well. Absolutely recommend!

Historic place in Trieste. We eat mostly pork and various boiled offal, with beer. If you are squeamish, this is not for you. It is certainly not the picture of cleanliness and refinement.
They make Jota, a typical soup of the area, slightly acidic with sauerkraut, potatoes and beans and a piece of bacon just so you don't miss the pork here too. Tasty! The raw sandwich is very good. Medium/low prices. 2 of us paid 39.50 and had 2 appetizers with ham and offal, a jota, a sandwich with ham, a glass of wine and a canned drink.

An old-fashioned and welcoming place, at the entrance the scent of boiled meat and jota (typical Trieste soup) envelops you and never lets go! I would go back once a day...

Iconic and incredibly good value! Buffet da Pepi is offering delicious traditional ‘boiled’ meat and fresh beers in the center of Trieste. Their sandwich was absolutely delicious and the service was fast. Really recommended to anyone who wants to enjoy various cuts of pork!

Quando devo accompagnare un ospite alla scoperta della città poi mi piace fare una sosta qui per assaggiare i piatti sfiziosi della tradizione Triestina. Sempre scomodo sedere sulle dure panche e con poco spazio di movimento ma anche questa è una tradizione. Servizio sempre velocissimo e simpatico. Anche i prezzi sono sempre gli stessi ..... Altissimi in rapporto alla quantità .. ma la fama ...contribuisce!!

Ogni volta che ci torno, e ci vado da decenni, mi sembra peggiorare. Ci sono buffet meno conosciuti, migliori e meno cari in città. Il vino rosso è da dimenticare. Non mi è piaciuto nemmeno che, essendoci la fila all' entrata, ti facciano capire di finire veloce e alzarti dal tavolo. Una volta avevano un servizio super simpatico. Do 3 solo perché è un mio posto del cuore. Vi prego, ripigliatevi (refeve per triestin ;)
