This place has many bad reviews. As an American, this place was nice enough. The lady was very verbose, but friendly. It was 8 euros for a crescent, cappuccino, and soda. Apparently this very expensive by Italian standards, buy pretty normal by America standards so I didn't see a problem with it.

28/11/2023: Quiet place with nice staff. Hot chocolate was great and so was the pastry that I had.
15/09/2023: Locale con tavoli anche all'esterno situato nelle vicinanze del Santo. Se non si ha l'esigenza di fare un pasto preparato al momento, ma ci si "accontenta" di piatti "pronti" ci si può tranquillamente fermare per un pasto veloce.

05/03/2024: I strongly believe that you have to be a good tourist to be able to enjoy your time far away from home. So after reading all the bad reviews, once again i decide to go in and received just perfect customer service. Coffee so good as well as the pastries.
20/11/2023: Siamo stati in questo bar per due caffè dopo aver visitato la basilica. Servizio eccellente, prezzi nella norma. Il titolare è simpaticissimo e molto cordiale.
