Bar Pirandello In Taormina

11/10/2023: In 10 days of touring Sicily this was our only disappointing restaurant experience The rooftop setting is beautiful However, they definitely oversell on wine by suggesting very expensive wines and then get an attitude when you ask the price I specifically ordered the tuna ROSSO.....several times to make my point I have ordered it every other day while in Sicily the exact same way. when the server presented it, I immediately cut it into it and said it was gray, not red. He proceeded to argue with me until I said I didn't want it. It was embarrassing as a customer and rude as a server. I then ordered the sea bass which was wonderful but I must say the evening was ruined. Our most expensive dinner and by far the most disappointing. I'd prefer less atmosphere and more genuine hospitality

06/10/2023: We walked up the narrow stairs to escape the crowds and noise of the main street. We did not have a reservation but they managed to squeeze us in. Menu is typical and the food was excellent. House wine was somewhat warm. Nice view depending on your seat. Service was just ok. I mean, they get the job done but they are very rushed (just two waiters and a bus boy for quite a few tables). Seeing them rushing around makes it stressful while we eat.
