An incredibly surprising place. Although there is a bar breakfast time is much better. Their coffee is really delicious. I couldn't try the bar part in the evenings, it was always too crowded.

I like this place. It used to be full of interesting people and artists, I like watching them. Drinks are cheaper than around, but it is always crowded. And the coffee is good as well. Some afternoons, there is live band in front of the bar. Nowadays, it's getting more popular and almost not possible to find a seat...it is full of tourist now ..

great atmosphere, life and bustle all day long. The bar serves beer, wine, drinks and coffee. Prices are really low (beer 1.5 EUR). There are tables outside, but it's always full of people sitting everywhere. A very nice place to chill out. :)

Bar San Calisto is located in the historic center of Rome, Rione XII (Ripa), in Piazza di San Callisto, from which the name of the commercial activity comes.
The place has been present here since 1969, it is very characteristic, and is the meeting place of many people from Trastevere, who are particularly fond of it.
I was able to enjoy it as a BAR, enjoying a good breakfast.
It also has outdoor tables overlooking the splendid square.
CURIOSITY'
The venue was also used for Paolo Sorrentino's film "La Grande Bellezza"
TOURIST NOTES:
Adjacent there is the suggestive Arch of San Callisto and nearby is the smallest house in Trastevere, which also has a lovely Sacred Edicule.

Che sia per un cappuccio e brioche, un amaro, o anche solo per la simpatia di chi ci lavora, prenderei un appartamento nei pressi del Bar per poterci andare in qualunque occasione utile, basta veramente poco per far sentire a casa chi anche per pochi giorni si trovi a passare nei pressi del San Calisto. Tappa obbligata ogni qual volta mi troverò a Roma

Muy buena opción de tomar unas cervezas barras después de un largo día. Mucha gente local también. El local es grande pero se llena.
