Brinkhoff's In Cagliari

Brinkhoff's deserves all of Google's stars and more. It's the safe place, where you know you'll find Fiona's warm welcome, excellent quality food and selected beers, for all tastes. It is the place where you choose to meet friends or the one where you bring new acquaintances, because you know that it will satisfy everyone and that it will be the best setting for bright evenings. During the summer, the tables are prepared on the large terrace, but there is also a very spacious and welcoming internal room. I've been going to Brinkhoff's for about twenty years and I'm sure there will be another twenty. The menu is varied, even with a vegetarian choice and some off-menu options, for example in this period a delicious lasagna. I have a weakness for potato salad, in perfect German style, and for peasant crostini. Special mention for the desserts, often homemade, a delightful epilogue to excellent meals. I highly recommend a lunch or dinner in this place.

Excellent discovery. Informal place, typical pub. As for the food, I couldn't comment because we only had fried potatoes (very good) and beer, so I'll postpone the evaluation.

I have been frequenting Brinkhoff's for many years. In recent times, I have seen it evolve and change for the better. Every time it's like feeling at home and the credit goes to the superlative hostess, Fiona, without neglecting the precious and amiable dining room staff. If I want to taste a particular beer and accompany it with some culinary delights, this place is the right place. Furthermore, it is one of the few places (if not the only one in Cagliari) where I can enjoy a good cigar or pipe, comfortably sitting on the terrace. Highly recommended.
