We ate very well, we were welcomed by the owner himself who described the dishes on offer and gave us recommendations, cordially without ever being intrusive, he chatted pleasantly with us, sitting at our table and sharing with us the history of the place. He made us feel like we were guests in his home and not in his restaurant. Grace and kindness enriched our dinner based on typical Tuscan cuisine. A unique place.

Very good food and friendly attentive waiters. Unfortunately, we ended up having to wait over 30 minutes for the bill even though the restaurant was only half full. The Florentine steak was excellent, the house wine was really good and inexpensive.

This is a classic Tuscan restaurant offering classic recipes and dishes unchanged for long, and thus excellent. We began with a first course of risotto and artichoke, as well as tagliatelle with zucchini flower - outstanding.  For main course we tried ossobucco, pork and an outstanding filet mignon which was unbelievably tender and good.  We finished with gelato and berries,  chocolate cream puffs and biscotti with Vin Santo.  This was the best meal in Florence by far.  Grazie mille.

Cafaggi is a must if you’re in Florence. Wonderful family owned restaurant. Staff are very warm and welcoming. Food is incredible. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we went back on another evening; it was the only restaurant we visited twice during our three week trip in Italy. On both occasions, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The food was delicious and the service was excellent on both occasions. We stronly recommend this establishment; suggest reservations during peak periods.

Saw recommendation on some online blog. Arrives by train in morning Florence and came here for lunch. Lunch special menu mid week. We arrived around 12 and the place was filling up. The interior looks like from the 60s in a good old school way. Everything was old school. Our waitress was absolutely the sweetest. A lot of good food. You won't be hungry. Homemade. If I lived here I would be a regular.
