We chose this restaurant by chance in Castiglione del Lago... a family business. We ate very well, but above all we brought home a lot of artisanal chocolate!!! Delicious!!!

Homely atmosphere, very nice and professional staff and the food... well, do you know Sunday lunch at your mother or grandmother's house? This is exactly what it is... sincere flavours... GOOD... to die for! Thanks for the wonderful evening, we will definitely be back!

We went to Castiglione sul Lago to see the largest Christmas race on water in the world. On the way back, three of us stopped at this restaurant for dinner. Exquisite dishes, cooked to perfection with truly genuine ingredients. We took a platter of cold cuts, all really good. I had a Chianti stew with onions, what can I say, the meat melted, an enveloping and intense flavour. A portion of bean curd. A portion of beans, sausage and rind. This last dish was so good that it was indescribable, to the point of having ordered an encore. House wine and water. At the end of the cantucci with vin santo, served in a very nice way in a bottle. All for €70. What can I say, a highly recommended place, exceptional quality/cost. Definitely coming back.

Entrati con qualche pregiudizio perché in pieno centro e con la paura che fosse uno dei tanti “spennaturisti” si sono rivelati tutt’altro, realtà familiare molto ben gestita con cibo buonissimo e dagli ingredienti alla cucina eccezionali, il ragazzo che ci ha accolti è stato gentilissimo, fanno anche una promozione per il vino da portar via quindi ho approfittato anche per prendere un “souvenir” che avrei comprato in enoteca ma siccome siamo stati bene ho scelto di prenderlo li (per intenderci)

Abbiamo cenato presso questa trattoria durante il periodo natalizio, dopo una visita al magnifico albero luminoso sul lago. Il menù è piuttosto limitato, ma non povero. In particolare, per i primi, i piccoli vengono proposti con diverse salse: aglione, chianina, carbonara. Quelli alla chianina bianca, generosamente conditi, erano piuttosto intensi, forse un poco troppo. La peposa è risultata un po' troppo asciutta, a mio gusto. Buono il tiramisù, unico dolce " fresco" disponibile, oltre alle selezioni di cioccolata ed ai cantucci. Una cucina, dunque, di terra, ispirata più alla vicina Toscana che al lago o all'Umbria. Buono, ma non memorabile. Gentile il personale, servizio sufficientemente veloce.
