we stayed nearby for health reasons and by chance we came to this tavern.. they truly welcomed us like family.. friendly, welcoming and professional staff.. from Tuscan to Tuscan I say thank you for representing us.. let's not talk about the food .. all spectacular and for everything I say everything .. we stayed for two days, lunch and dinner and then we also came for breakfast .. everything was delicious .. and in the end they couldn't help but try a Florentine .. transcendental experience!!! inhuman!!! good, good, amazing!!! thanks for everything.. spectacular!!!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place where we could taste typical Tuscan cuisine and we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, which was a very happy surprise, starting from the staff, who were really kind and friendly. We started dinner with a trio of Tuscan crostoni (especially the one with lard was memorable); then we ordered both pici (excellent with both the duck and Cinta Senese ragù) and finally we finished with the peposo, a dish that we had already tasted elsewhere but which here is made to perfection. Everything is of high quality (including wine), generous portions and very reasonable prices. The place is also warm, well-kept and welcoming. We had a wonderful time!

It's past 2.40pm, we've been traveling for 4 hours to reach Val d'Orcia and it's difficult to find a place still open that can serve us lunch. Luckily we are welcomed with a smile in this tavern: the kitchen closes at 3.00 pm but the owner still lets us sit. We order from appetizer to dessert without "pressure" on the time, in fact the innkeeper turns out to be very kind, even offering water to our dog. All the dishes are really good, special mention of the raw ham! The Chianti we tasted turned out to be the best of our entire stay! I recommend this tavern to enjoy excellent Tuscan cuisine but also to find helpful, polite and welcoming staff! Sometimes so little is enough... thanks and see you next time!

There is no question about quality. But if you are a worker, absolutely avoid it for lunch breaks; unaffordable prices for portions that are decidedly too small. A menu for workers would be worth considering.

Friendliness, kindness and speed are the three characteristics that represent this typical Tuscan tavern, combined with an excellent range of dishes with worthy quality and price. For friendly, they also cared about our little dog. The environment is informal and beautiful, with a very beautiful vaulted room. I highly recommend.

I have a soft spot for this place. Simple but very well done cuisine. Excellent first courses, excellent raw materials and attentive and friendly service. Note of merit to an apple pie that reminds me of my mother's
