Elegant and clean restaurant. The staff is kind, friendly and well trained. Unfortunately the starters and some main courses had, in my opinion, too small portions.

Very welcoming place and staff, wide choice of food. Definitely positive atmosphere. Elegant mise en place with a perfect color choice. We'll be back!

Everything was perfect, the place, the food very well looked after and of great quality, the owner and his wife and the waitresses, always available and never intrusive, to make suggestions and explain the dishes. Excellent experience

Il locale è molto elegante, la cameriera è disponibilissima e sa consigliare e venire incontro alle esigenze dei clienti. I piatti tutti deliziosi.. nonostante le spezie sono tutti sapori delicati, e c'è l'imbarazzo della scelta. Occorrerebbe tornare più volte per provare tutto e scoprire gusti nuovi! Però conto ci ha lasciati sorpresi. A parte il coperto 3,50 euro che ci sembra un pò eccessivo, la cosa che meno ci è piaciuta è la sensazione che abbiano fatto in modo di farci spendere il più possibile. Avevamo chiesto un antipasto misto (mi pare 7,50 euro) e un antipasto di pollo a parte. Abbiamo poi deciso con la cameriera di fare un antipasto misto da condividere in 2 in cui aggiungere un assaggio dell'altro antipasto di pollo. E' arrivato l'antipasto misto e un antipasto di pollo a parte. Ok fa lo stesso. Ma nello scontrino abbiamo trovato tutti gli antipasti calcolati come singoli (3 da 4 euro, 1 da da 5) e quello di pollo. Può essere stato un malinteso. Ma poi l'altra cameriera nel momento dell'ordine dei piatti principali, ci ha detto che venivano accompagnati dal riso e ci ha fatto scegliere che tipo di riso. Sullo scontrino abbiamo trovato i 2 risi contati a parte per un totale di 9,50 euro. Pazienza. Ce ne siamo accorti solo a casa una volta controllato lo scontrino. Fermo restando che potremmo anche non essere stati chiari noi, mi sembra comunque corretto avvisare le altre persone perchè non tutti gradirebbero spendere 20 euro in più rispetto a quello che ci si aspettava. Per quanto non sia una cifra esorbitante, penso che la trasparenza sia importante. Quindi ristorante consigliatissimo, MA occhio a quando ordinate.

From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, the warmth and welcoming ambiance set the stage for what was to be an unforgettable meal. To start, we indulged in the Shamee Kebab and Meat Samosa. Both antipasti (starter/appertiser) were impeccably seasoned, offering a delightful preview of the culinary expertise Josna possesses. The Shamee Kebab was tender and flavourful, melting effortlessly with each bite, while the Meat Samosa was the perfect blend of crispy pastry and rich, spiced filling. For our main courses, we chose the Fish Makhani and Prawn Jalfrezi, accompanied by Mushroom Rice and Garlic Naan. The Fish Makhani was a revelation - the fish was cooked to perfection, tender and infused with a creamy, mango-based sauce that was rich in flavour yet delicately balanced. The Prawn Jalfrezi was equally impressive, with just the right level of spice to complement the succulent prawns without overpowering them. The Mushroom Rice and Garlic Naan were the perfect sides, each adding its own unique texture and flavor to the meal. Our dining experience was made even more memorable with the desserts - Cham Cham and Kheer. Both were amazing, with the Cham Cham being particularly standout, offering a sweet, milky delight that perfectly rounded off the meal. The Kheer was creamy, with a subtle sweetness and texture that was comforting and satisfying. Accompanying our meal was an organic white wine that was simply lovely. Its crisp and refreshing taste paired beautifully with the rich flavours of our dishes, enhancing the overall dining experience. In summary, Josna Ristorante Indiano is a must-visit for anyone in Genoa looking for an authentic Indian dining experience. The food is not just delicious but prepared with a level of care and expertise that is evident in every bite. The fish dishes and desserts were the highlights of our meal, and the organic white wine was a delightful complement to the exquisite flavours. I highly recommend Josna to all lovers of Indian cuisine and to those looking to explore it for the first time. An absolute gem! We were the two English people sticking out like sore thumbs!

It is a renowned Indian cuisine restaurant in Genoa, the menu is very broad, and offers different meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. You can choose the level of 'spicy' and 'hot', at our table someone dared to choose the maximum, but the dish was not as terrible as perhaps expected! Overall we had a good dinner, the price was 50 euros each

Buon ristorante indiano nel pieno centro di Genova. Menù vario e ricercato. Il personale molto gentile e disponibile. Di contro gli spazi un po’ piccoli e una lunga attesa per le portate. Prezzi nella media. Consigliato se amanti della cucina etnica.
