We booked with my family through "the fork" for Saturday dinner. Very welcoming and well-kept environment, it conveys that they care. The food was also very good, my family and I tried various things including octopus carpaccio, spaghetti with clams and more, all well seasoned and fresh. Waiting times not too long, unfortunately in my opinion some behaviors and attitudes on the part of the owner should be "reviewed" I won't go into details because I don't want to dwell on it but in other reviews on the service, I agree with what I read after being there. There are indoor and outdoor tables and there is a bathroom. One of the significant flaws in my opinion is the €3 cover charge per person (includes bag with bread and service) I find it a bit excessive, however also considering the prices of drinks (water €3 each filled ultra-filtered 75ml) and food they are a little higher than average. 20% discount applied with the fork, not on drinks (as also written on the site) and covered.

The place is certainly nice and aesthetically pleasing, the location is excellent, a stone's throw from the lake and the fortress. The service was more than sufficient and friendly. Small negative points are: the addition of salt to the dishes which were lacking in flavor (Tagliolini with monkfish and grilled fish) and more attention to the cooking of the pasta as unfortunately it overcooks.

Fermati per una domenica a pranzo in coppia, prenotato per le 12.30. Inizialmente tutto perfetto, spaghetto con vongole buone (uno a testa), non al top ma buone, di seguito grigliata di pesce per me e frittura di lago per la moglie, accompagnate entrambe da salsine gustose con contorni di patate fritte e verdura ripassata. Il servizio fino a questo punto premuroso e disponibile. La problematica inizia quando, a meta secondo, il ristorante comincia a riempirsi, e si riempie velocemente perché il nome Nicchia non è dato a caso! Gente che comincia (come è normale) ad alzarsi per andare in bagno che è uno solo e che mettendosi in fila intralcia il lavoro degli camerieri, il padrone del locale che chiede la cortesia di spostarsi per farli lavorare... un caos. A questo punto vieni abbandonato tanto da non poter ordinare un caffè, decidiamo di pagare il conto e andare. Esatto pagare, è talmente una "Nicchia" che non esiste un posto per il conto, il proprietario ti sbatte davanti il pos mentre tu sei al centro della sala (dove è anche la fila del bagno di prima). Neanche posso consigliare al proprietario di rimuovere un tavolo per allestire un banco per l'accoglienza e il pagamento, sacrificando dei preziosi coperti paganti compensandoli con un lieve aumento dei prezzi perché di per se il conto è già abbastanza caro, 2 primi e 2 secondi e 2 calici di vino con contorno 99€!

We will be back! You go there!! Our first time but certainly not the last. Ate very well! We chose all lake dishes, excellent flavours. We smiled throughout lunch. Extraordinary.

Very nice, small but welcoming environment, friendly and attentive staff, the quality of the food good enough but not exceptional for what you spend.. in my humble opinion very expensive.

Despite being a resident of the area I had never had the pleasure of eating in this place until today when I went with my family. We were extremely satisfied with the quality of the dishes, well plated and easy to digest (which is not to be taken for granted). Small, well-kept place, free of cooking smells, despite there being no dividing door. We will definitely be back

Cena per festeggiare il nuovo anno. La scelta di fare un menù alla carta ha sicuramente premiato e alla fine eravamo tutti amici felici di stare lì. Materia prima di ottima qualità e piatti preparati con maestria con un servizio ( curato dai gestori del locale ) attento e gentile . Ottima serata con un prezzo finale più che onesti. Consigliatissimo .

A beautiful small restaurant with a wonderful menu of both traditional Umbrian fare and fine dining options. The spaghetti in squid ink and clams was amazing. Owners were engaging and accommodating.
