For me, the best place I have eaten in Rome, the food is delicious, the portions are very generous, the atmosphere is very Italian despite being in a very touristy area. And the price is very good for its quality. The treatment was very friendly despite the fact that among them they were a little nervous due to the delay in bringing out food, but being used to Spain it didn't seem that much to us, and they still treated us to tiramisu and sorbet for the inconvenience.

We came here because of the many good reviews. To be fair, the food is not awful. The portion is also big. The risotto degli scampi is made with cream and that’s a bit disappointing though it’s only 14EUR. The low score is because the table cloth and chair were dirty and they don’t seem to change the cloth after each service. There were also a few flies flying around in the whole dinner.
I’d say if you want a budget and ok meal, this is where to go. a

From the outside it may not seem like a great place. However, all you have to do is step inside and everything changes! The restaurant has its own atmosphere and charm, delicious food, very nice service! You can see that the staff and the owner really care! So I sincerely recommend it!
Mega large portions, standard prices for a medium budget. We were a family of 6 people and this was our best meal in our 4 days stay in Rome.

If you are looking for a local restaurant where the majority are Italians enjoying an incredible quiet dinner, this is your place. Of the many restaurants in this beautiful neighborhood, La Tavernetta is in the top 3 without a doubt. The wines are very correct, the local meat is incredible but I have to highlight the shrimp risotto without a doubt. It could be said one of the best risottos you could try. The staff are incredible, you would expect them to be distant and curt like many Italians but here it was totally the opposite. Thank you very much for the service and you certainly deserved the final tip. Thanks for everything!!

Excellent food, great value for money. The portions are very well served. The carbonara is spectacular. If you don't want to wait in line to get in, arrive by 7:30 pm.

Ho portato in questo meraviglioso ristorante amici che vengono dalle Marche e volevano la vera cucina romana. Accoglienza sempre eccezionale. Antipasti di terra meravigliosi con pure fiori di zucca e porcini fritti. Tutti prodotti di primissima qualità preparati con cura. Poi tre classici primi della cucina romana: caio e pepe, amatriciana e carbonara. Porzioni abbondanti e il grande dilemma si quale fosse il migliore, abbiamo assaggiato tutti i piatti di tutti. Il voto 10 e lode. In più Chef 🧑🍳 Tony ci ha rallegrato con la sua ospitalità come solo un ottimo padrone di casa sa fare.
