L'Alternativa by Orsetto In Arzachena

This was our favourite restaurant in Porto Cervo - it has the feel of a local family run resturant rather than a tourist trap and we visited twice during our stay. The pasta dishes are great and the staff very friendly and professional.. As others have mentioned the Carbonara is one of the best we have had and try the tortolini starter. I would recommend visiting here and dont forget to try the Mrytle (local drink)

I went to this restaurant with some colleagues for a dinner and we were all very happy and satisfied with the welcome, kindness and helpfulness of the staff. We had appetizers and first courses which were all delicious! To accompany the evening there was a great musician in the venue. Everything is really beautiful! Absolutely worth going there. A special mention to Romina and Vanessa who are two fantastic people, I will definitely come back to eat and say hello to you

A REAL alternative to most restaurants in Porto Cervo. The food and service is great, the atmosphere is indescribable. It's like a neighborhood restaurant, just around the corner, and you stumbled into it as a tourist by chance. The people are very friendly and the food is great.

In Sardinia for some days and we went to L’alternativa twice, we definitely had to repeat the Carbonara experience :) the Carbonara is super delicious , truly recommend it! Also the cosy atmosphere and the great staff are 5* !

A very charming place to eat. The carbonara and tiramisu are to die for!! They were very friendly and we felt at home!! We will definitely return ☺️

Good food, nice location, bad service. The waitress gave us a very bad attitude the whole time, she made us feel like we were not welcome and not good enough for the place. She acted annoyed with us - especially when we didn’t want to order an appetizer. We waited 10 min for the check after asking for it twice even though the place wasn’t busy. Both waitresses rather spent time on their phones than to look after their customers.

It was ok. They took a while to serve us and when we asked they didn't like it very much. The food was correct

On Google there is written that the restaurant closes at midnight. We arrived at 10:30pm and the person Who welcomed us Said that we need to order fast because the kitchen closes soon. We came to eat our last meal from our vacation and we would have been able to eat chill without stress and pressure. Besides that the food was great, very delicious fish meal and very good pasta. I recommend this place but it’s better to arrive early if you don’t want to eat fast and with pressure.

The place is welcoming at first impression, but the staff is a little less so. The waitress who served us was really too insistent in offering appetizers, first courses and second courses, making us feel almost obliged to have to take, in addition to the first course, also an appetizer or a second course. As if this wasn't enough, she took the liberty of informing the kitchen to divide the two first courses we ordered into two dishes, without first informing us and therefore without our consent. Speaking of the two courses we ordered, namely the "angry octopus" and the spaghetti with prawns and bacon, I can say that they were both good. I want to point out, however, that they tasted like everything except fish, so if you're looking for fish, go elsewhere. There wasn't even a hint of octopus in the "angry octopus" spaghetti, in fact they tasted like very normal spaghetti all'arrabbiata. Instead, as regards the spaghetti with prawns and bacon, as can be seen in the photo, there was only one prawn on the plate, while the rest was all bacon. If we had ordered the spaghetti all'arrabbiata and the spaghetti with bacon, I would have given 4 stars, but it wasn't what we wanted. To top it off, the waitress' haste to remove our plates from the table, without even asking us if we wanted a dessert (which we would have liked), led us to leave.
