Having tried it in Naples I was very curious, but unfortunately (and I was somewhat expecting it) the experience was not the best.
We know the wait is what it is, so let's gloss over it.
The starters are perhaps the best thing (except for the montanara, which is excessively doughy)
The pizza, alas, is totally different from its Neapolitan counterpart. Cornice too present for a cart wheel, and the Cossack pizza bordered on the inedible as it was too salty (in Naples they put pecorino out of the oven and much less so)
The Vesuvio pizza was very watery and not very tasty.
I recommend turning to the classic marinara/margherita

This place was recommended to us by a local and it did not disappoint. My husband said it was his favorite of our Italy trip! We came in right before closing to get a pizza and they had it ready so fast for us. Yum!!

Best pizza we had during our Italian trip to Venice,Como, and Florence. This restaurant was recommended by a Florence local who stated the owner is from Naples. They were about to close and allowed us to order a pizza and even offered to let us stay and eat it at the restaurant.

We arrived in Florence on a Friday morning and after a drink and a walk around the Mercato Centrale had built up an appetite. We shared a margherita having seen the size of the pizzas delivered to neighbouring tables and opted for the extra buffalo mozzarella. The pizza here lives up to expectation and the five star reviews – a perfect base with a fluffy crust, generous toppings, incredible flavour and piping hot served straight out of the wood fired oven. The service was excellent, the pizza delicious, the beer and wine perfectly chilled and very reasonable prices. What more could you ask for….?
