We decided one night to try Ristorante Le Caveau for dinner since it was close to our Airbnb. This family restaurant is warm and welcoming - not a place that prefers locals and shuns tourists. We had excellent service and the food was spectacular. So much so that we came back for dinner the next night. And lunch the next day! We had many of their pastas, oysters, mussels, fried baby squid, shrimp entree and steak. All of it was delicious. This is a special place where you are treated like family. The next time we are in Rome we will make sure to be back.

I guess we were looked down upon as tourists who wouldn't come back anyway. Artificially checking whether we had a reservation and whether a table would be found for us, where local guests came in after us and immediately got a table. We had to drink beer and cola in water glasses... because we didn't get 'special' glasses. The food was average, each restaurant probably serves a different carbonara, this one was really average and tasteless, the bacon saved this dish

Only one meal taken in this restaurant. Nothing really extraordinary. And the prices are a little excessive all the same, for very ordinary cuisine.

Great margherita and pasta with various seafood. Very nice staff who caught up with us after leaving the premises and asked if we wanted to take the 2 pieces of pizza we had left with us to go. Hats off! Additionally, I don't think there was a service fee, but I'm not sure. A place highly recommendable.

Family run restaurant serving great food with lovely friendly staff at reasonable prices. In Rome what more can you ask for! I eat there two nights in a row. The seafood was very good. I had the pasta with seafood, the risotto seafood, and the deepfried calamari all of which were excellent. The Wine on offer was from small Italian producers who put a number on each bottle that they provided. Great service and a busy restaurant so be advised to book if eating after 7pm. They seem to get groups on tour which is a good sign. A no frills good eating experience in Rome at reasonable prices.

To say that this restaurant is a 10 would be a very understatement. Excellent food and great price-quality. I'll just say the same thing I told the owner. So good, it seems like a sin Cosi buono che sowed a sin. Thank you very much for the experience, I hope to return one day.

Locale un pochino datato, comunque pulito… personale disponibile.. cucina buona, a me è piaciuto: pesce buono a prezzi più che giusti.. consiglio

We stayed nearby and found it convenient to walk to Le Caveau for dinner -- twice. The food and service were excellent both times so please don't hesitate to come here!

24/03/2024: I was there last night, I must say that the food was good... I had the slices of bread with chicory and baked potatoes, they were good... the bulk wine was also good... the only thing is the price is a little high for a 'tavern....24.50...if I also took the starter and the first course depending on how much the bill arrived....too expensive...but the food is good....
10/03/2024: Small, truly Roman trattoria. Characteristic and delicious food! Very welcoming place. Few places so reservations required. I highly recommend it!

06/04/2024: Excellent restaurant. Fine and genuine dishes. Cacio e pepe with artichoke leaves cannot be described in words however good...
29/03/2024: A truly exceptional place, even more so because it is outside the usual circles of trendy clubs, renowned and praised by the media. Food of the highest level, staff available and attentive to customer needs, an environment with old style charm... excellent assets that more than compensate for a couple of small "flaws": the menu is not very extensive and the wine list could be enriched. But it is also true that we drank, at the suggestion of the staff, an excellent South Tyrolean Pinot Noir (replacing a similar wine that was not available) and above all that we would not have wanted to eat anything other than what was proposed and served to us. I repeat: an exceptional place, which is worth a visit even if you travel a few kilometers further than the traditional areas of fashionable Roman restaurants. Average prices.
