We had an absolute delight being the only guests in a cozy and inviting restaurant where the owner personally attended to us. He graciously welcomed us as not just the chef and waiter but also as a caring babysitter. Throughout all three roles, his professionalism shone, and the food he served was simply delicious! Yes, we enjoyed it so much we came back after only a few days.

If Nello were on the sea it would be difficult to find a place: its only flaw (but is it really a flaw?) is not being able to enjoy the splendid gulf in front of Santa Maria while enjoying its dishes. Nello and his staff - starting with Cristina - assisted us in every need, at every hour, for any requirement: from the quick consumption of mozzarella (excellent) and vegetables to gourmet lunches and dinners. The place was our home for a few days, and it is a good reason to return to Cilento. For those who are forced to eat out, Nello is better than home: highly digestible dishes - try the courgettes with scapece: they are wonderful -, attention to every need, variety of proposals, fresh and tailor-made cooking. Like when an eight/ten kilo snapper was delivered, and in the evening we savored it both raw in carpaccio and cooked on the grill. Hello dear. Missed you since we left.
