Just had pasta with meatball, and it was good, but not a complicated meal. We were told that gondoliers eat here, so expected some local charm, perhaps extra good food, extra large portions, or especially inexpensive. It was none of the above.

Kind of average food. I believe it was on Anthony Bourdain's list way back when... Service was a bit slow, painful at times. The one redeeming item on the menu was the spaghetti carbonara for 2. We sat inside, but it was picturesque and quaint with all the seating in the alley outside. It was definitely a locals spot too.

28/03/2024: Located steps away from St Mark's Square, this vintage hotel offers clean rooms and clean bedding. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. However, breakfast quality is lacking, and kitchen staff seem nervous, especially when ordering extra coffee. Overall, a decent option for its charm, location and price but don't expect a stellar breakfast experience.
16/03/2024: Excellent price for a stay in the center. Rooms a little small but, if on the top floor, with a splendid view

Pizzeria Ristorante da Sara

15/11/2023: Found this restaurant randomly after rejecting to go to another much recommended pizzeria nearby. And it was a great choice! We found a nice calm place apart from the noisy and crowded street because it is situated in the backyard with trees, shrubs and plants. The food was perfect - I recommend penne al pesto genovese and red wine. Nice family restaurant!
07/10/2023: We stayed at Hotel Tivoli and this restaurant wasn't far from there so on the 3rd of October we said we would give it a try and relax for awhile after doing a bit off sightseeing. We were delighted we chanced it. Great value, pleasant staff and the courtyard added to the charm of this restaurant and it was great to sit back and enjoy the hustle and bustle of this area. We opted for Calzone and Margherita pizza's and they all tasted great.
