It's not the first time we have dinner at Al Portego. And it won't be the last.....
It's a great experience every time. It may be the quality of the food and the wine, the sincere and warm environment, but also Davide's mastery in proposing the dishes and serving them making you feel at home (I'm from Rome and therefore biased), the fact is that dining at Al Portego won't make you never disappoints.
And every time you return to Venice, an evening is dedicated to them.

The service is not remarkable, quite average and even bad. The food is not craved, it is reheated. Drinks are good, reasonable prices for Venice

Good place to try “the tapas” there and drink some wines.
We were lucky to find a table and we had a very pleasant time.
As for the service, well, 50 50,
One of the super friendly waiters talked to us about Spain and told us what to eat.
On the other hand, another of them was willing to put his hand into the rations and eat. He grabbed something in one of the ducks with his hand, looked at it badly and returned it to the plate...
We are left “checkered”
In general good, it is not cheap, each skewer is about €3.
But come on, we paid €45 and left hungry, it's clear that it's a snack, don't compare it with León if you're from Spain.
One of the few places still authentic in Venice. But our dinner was made special by the lady who served us, kind, friendly and passionate. If you go to Venice come and eat here!

Perfect very italian place for casual dining. Gnocchi with duck was incredibly tasty. We were a little disappointed that the tagliatelle with shrimp still had shell on which is awkward with sauce but flavour great. Would totally recommend

Esta concorrida Osteria na Calle della Malvasia é o que há de mais autêntico da culinária veneziana. É uma cicchetteria que não comporta o volume de pessoas que lá se aglomeram para saborear os seus antipastos e pratos. Sendo assim, caso queira almoçar ou jantar, procure sempre fazer uma reserva antecipada. Os frutos do mar são a grande pedida, mas a "pasta con seppie in nero" também é fantástica! Optamos pelo "spaghetti alla scogliera" e pela "frittura di pesce e verdurini", ambos sensacionais.
