Panificio Chifenti In Lucca

In the center of Lucca this characteristic bakery has attracted attention. Few (fortunately) artisanal and fragrant products. The owner has something more than the average!

From sweet to savory everything is good. The Schiacciata with oil and oregano is special... cake with top beaks!!

On our trip to Lucca we were right to stop in this historic bakery to buy the legendary buccellato: the product turned out to be excellent and very tasty, well leavened and cooked to perfection. And so we were able to fulfill the saying "Whoever comes to Lucca and doesn't eat buccellato is as if he had never been there". Also worth trying are the fried cenci! Positive mention also for the shop staff.

I don't know if you can judge a bakery by just one product, but the crumbled cream, apples and jam we ate today was illegal based on how good it was! One of the best desserts we have ever eaten! A balance of flavors and textures that is rare to find. Compliments! The next chance we have to come to Lucca, we won't fail to try some other delicacies.

Consigliato dal BeB dove alloggiavamo, dopo averne provata un'altra in un altro panificio di Lucca, possiamo dire che qui si trova una torta coi becchi favolosa. Un mix perfetto di dolce e salato, un equilibrio incredibile, ingredienti buoni e ottima cottura. Se passate da Lucca è da provare
