Pasticceria Demetrio In Pavia

Breakfast on Saturday morning. The pastry shop has seating both inside and on the terrace facing the street, the cafeteria and the croissants are excellent. I ordered the vegan brioche with blueberry jam... five stars, the service is fast and the guys are very courteous. For me, my point of reference for the inevitable walk to the nearby market. I will definitely also try the pastry shop which looks excellent👍

I had a good time and dealt with a very nice and kind young bartender.

Went there for breakfast and ordered for a " pizzetta and tartelleta con mandarino e mirtillo " -> small pizza and tart filled with mandarin and blueberry. Ready-made PIZZETTA was soft and a bit crisp on the edges such that there was a smooth transition from the edges ( cornicione ) to the centre core. Topped with pomodoro and mozzarella ( tomato and cheese ) with a tinge of oregano. They served it hot and you can tell it from the stretchy nature of the cheese -> referred generally as the cheese pull. So far I haven't seen this anywhere with my limited exploration experience, even when ready made pizzettas were served after heating as the cheese would still be like a semi-solid that would come off with one bite. TART wasn't too hard but still felt like a fresh piece of biscuit which had been filled with 1. Crema pasticcera ( as told by one staff )- that always reminds me of custard ( for those who know how custard is - as I'm not sure of the precise difference ). Tastes are very similar though not at all 100% same. 2. Mirtillo - blueberries 3. Mandarino - mandarin orange. ------------------ * Prices were around 3.40 euros for pizzetta and 1.40 euros for tarteletta which might be a little more than the pasticceria's counterparts. * A small seating arrangement is there both on the inside and outside. * Staff is quite accomodative and hospitable - I had a problem with my card and it took some time to sort it out by calling the bank, which in turn took atleast 15 to 20 minutes, and meanwhile I didn't face any problem waiting in the pasticceria -> the staff also got the pizzetta heated " once again " on my request.
