Pizzeria Vecchia Rotonda In Lucca

We have been customers of this pizzeria for more than 3 years, since we live about 100 meters from it. Every Saturday night and when friends or family come to our house, we always order pizzas from here. They are unbeatable!! We have tried pizzas in other pizzerias in Lucca, but none beats the taste of the pizzas at Vecchia Rotonda. Why I choose this pizzeria: 1) To start, the pizzas are made in a wood-fired oven, which gives the pizza an incredible flavor. 2) the flavor of the pizza dough is unique, there is no other one as delicious as this one. I think it must have a secret ingredient that gives it that delicious and particular touch, which makes you not leave a single crumb on the plate. The "height" of the pizza is just right, it is not thin like a shell, nor high like the Neapolitan. The dough has the ideal height. 3) It has a huge variety of flavors, also calzone and others. 4) If you reserve it for takeout, they answer the phone right away to take the order, and they are punctual, as is the table service if you eat there. If you order them to go, they use a box that keeps them warm until you get home. 5) It is super well located, just 400 meters from the Wall of Lucca, so after eating a pizza, you have the option of taking a walk around the city. 6) It has ample parking just 20 meters away. 100% recommended. Our favorite in Lucca.

An excellent choice and excellent leavening and ingredients

Pizzeria near the stadium in a very nice residential area although obviously not as characteristic as inside the walls. Excellent pizza with wood oven. We had dinner there after playing a nearby escape room within walking distance. The service is fast, and the staff (all female) with whom we had contact are friendly, smiling, kind and very helpful. The prices are excellent.

You can eat excellent pizza in a welcoming environment.

Vicino al Campo di Marte pizzeria familiare consumazione sul posto e da asporto. Pizzeria gustosa uno staff gentile sorridente che riesce a gestire prodotti di qualità sapientemente lavorati con un garbo non scontato. Servizio eccellente sotto la maestria di una responsabile di sala attenta discreta e sempre pronta alle varie richieste. Pizze e non solo vi convinceranno a tornare.

Pizzeria Top alle porte dell’antica cinta muraria lucchese. Il personale è molto gentile e competente, mentre le pizze ed il menù sono molto buoni e ben curati. Sicuramente ci torneremo.
