Rifugio Del Lago Della Vecchia In Torino

Beautiful route on a path/mule track, of the right level of difficulty to arrive with a good appetite, without being too tired; and considering the length of the itinerary, you can eat lightly without fearing the return. The guys are very friendly and nice, the food is good and, fortunately, not too heavy, on the contrary... The cold cuts and cheese platter is highly recommended. This year (2023) the refuge closed at the end of October.

It's an enchanted place, you get there after a long walk... but the view from up there is priceless

Magnificent management and staff, abundant and delicious dishes. In general, a beautiful refuge and a beautiful walk, the only flaw is that the weather is often a bit messy with the fog

Diretti verso il Lago della Vecchia, ci siamo fermati qualche metro prima per bere una birra al rifugio. Il menù era diverso dai soliti ed allettante e quindi abbiamo deciso di pranzare. Tutto ottimo. Il contorno di zucchine esageratamente fantastico. Simona, gestore del rifugio e cuoca, ha voluto condividere con me la sua ricetta. E a casa il giorno dopo anche i miei familiari si leccavano i baffi per un piatto tanto semplice quanto squisito. Complimenti per la gestione e per la cucina

Un rifugio di montagna custodito raggiungibile da Piedicavallo nel biellese. È possibile quindi pranzare e anche dormire (poche camerette). A 10 minuti il lago della Vecchia.

Un luogo magico che torno a trovare volentieri da qualche anno. É cambiata la gestione da poco, direi in meglio. Vista mozzafiato e tante esplorazioni da fare. Ideale per avventure in famiglia, coppia, da soli, ideale per esploratori.
